Maybe a little under appreciated but McCabe is having a great game and I thought he looked really good vs Detroit as well.

Could be that he has good chemistry with Giordano. But with him, Domi, and Bertuzzi finding their games the team’s outlook looks a lot more positive than it did a few weeks ago.

McCabe has been quietly very important and I agree underappreciated. Our record with and without him this year is night and day

We will regret trading any of our stars, but we don't have a choice. If Nylander wants 10-11M, we can't commit 13 to Matthews, 11 to Nylander, 12+ to Marner again. We just can't.

When you consider the cap going up significantly and Tavares off the books soon, it’s actually the first time it makes sense to have all 3 locked up at a big number.

Marner’s ability to find the open man is insane. Keep both him and Willy if you can. We need to revamp pro scouting department to find the right guys to supplement

This seems like a really, really hard task.

We were far from a no show in the first 8 mins. We’ve played really uneven periods this year, this one wasn’t really that imo. Now don’t get me wrong we took over in the second half, but we had an excellent powerplay, 2 posts and a few more shots in the first 8. Could be better, as shown by the back half, but far from a no show.

We were a no show defensively for the first 8 minutes.

I think they put too much emphasis on slow unskilled tough players. Thats just one thing. Its good to a point but.....

When will the NHL drop the between period interviews. The disdain of the players alone, how does that sell the game? Useless questions, pedestrian responses, get me the f*** out of here disposition, it's forever terrible.

It is funny because the salaries for Tavares and Nylander are probably just going to swap... and the cap was supposed to go up like this... so really not much will have changed, minus Covid.

When he played for the leafs he was converted into a center

When he was a winger, he had this one play where he would take you to the outside and man handle you to the net

Just was a beast. He stopped that play when he started playing center in Toronto

That's how tall I had him in my head. I was positive Lindros was bigger.

I mean, it was clear that Knies was not a Dubas pick... Dubas like most GMs pick their staff though and he trusted them... he should be credited for trusting them and putting them in place... I have been super impressed with our drafting compared to years past.

Finding Knies, Robertson, Cowen, Niemela, Minten, and Grebyokin (probably wrong spelling), all outside of the top 25 (I think Cowen was 28), is a pretty good record.

Who knows if they all work out... but he should definitely be credited for overhauling the scouting department from the Lou/Hunter drafts.

Minnesota's power play stinks (just not quite as badly as their PK). They really don't do anything well at all.

After the second period if the person being interviewed team has the lead. It is mandatory to say "We have to get the puck deep". Yawn. So played out. Spot on DK.
