Justin Holl a healthy scratch while Jared MaCann leads the Seattle Kraken in scoring with 3-4-7 points in 8 games.

The way Holl has played this year, I wonder if there is any remorse in expansion decisions, as McCann would look good right now on a team struggling for offense playing LW on one of Leaf top lines, as he would be the closest thing to replace Hyman?

This was such a gross decision.

Should have just exposed Kerfoot and Holl and lost whoever they lost. McCann is clearly the better player than any of them.

...... and to add to it, we lost 2 prospects in the process?

Someone should tell Kyle you are never so often dumb as when you think you are being smart. This was a poor decision.

McCann would fit our top 6 LW need perfectly right now, while Kerfoot doesn't seem to slot into the lineup anywhere naturally, and is just an awkward fit. He doesn't bring what we need, and takes $3.5m when he should really be a bottom 6 player.

I watched that game last night and the intensity and effort on both sides was amazing for a regular season game this early in the year. It had almost a playoff like commitment to compete to win.

The Leafs better not take the Red Wings for granted tonight and bring their "A" game or they're going to get outworked.

ahahaahhaahahahaha that’s almost a guarantee, come on now

Detroit is playing some good hockey. This will tougher than it looks on paper. Win this game and the games next week against TB and BOS and I start believing a bit more in this group again. They need a serious run and to show some fight and desire.
I watched their game last night. Nedeljkovic was lights out so, despite him having better numbers, hopefully we see Greiss tonight .

I don't know where to put this... but I just loved this clip. Blows my mind how dangerous he still is at his age. I wish they'd give him a shot at the #1PP since I think his shot is the best on the Leafs next to Matthews and Nylander. He might have the best slap shot of the team.

Spezza literally should be top line.. what happens if he does? We literally need to try stuff

The guy works on his craft steadily. Love that he's a Leaf, and how passionate he is about his job, and being a Leaf. I agree with you that I think he'd be a real threat on the top PP.

Yeah probably a good idea

I could be completely wrong, but they both seem out of shape and still catching up. Holl especially just seemed so sluggish the last few games like he just finished a marathon just before the game. Could be a perception thing though.

I don't care if they are my rivals or not my favorite team. Just as a fan of hockey, this gave me pure joy, just beautiful tbh.
The Leafs don’t understand either side of this. They’re sure as heck not blocking shots and wouldn’t try after one of their shots were blocked. Stand there staring into the rafters.

I remember when someone posted updated weights at training camp compared to last year and Muzz came in (I believe) 10+ lbs heavier this year.

Our shutdown pairing of Muzzin (-8 +/-) and Holl (-7) are a team worst +/-. So your eyes are no deceiving you, and something had to give.

From top 4 Dman to healthy scratch today for Holl, also confirms Keefe noticed and reacted.
