They were not going to drop Holmberg from the top 6 after one game, and Knies in the bottom 6 doesn't really make sense. Couple that with Bertuzzi treating the puck like a hot potato some games, it was coming. I know he had that nice dish to Marner last game, but that hasn't been characteristic of his play the last few games.

Yeah I actually respect this iteration of the Oilers team. Adding Kane and Ekholm was exactly what they needed. Bouchard has been a horse for them too. What a clapper he has.

Draisaitl was on fire last post season and if it wasn't for that dirty wack from Pietrangelo on him he may have carried them to another series win. They are the most dangerous team built for the playoffs out west if you ask me. All they need is steady goaltending.

Sure, but that doesn't mean we're forced to extend him like we extended the others. Ask him to waive, and if he refuses (not likely IMO) then let him walk.

Mediocre team, playing on the road, opponent has won 10 in a row, not sure I'd even call 3.20 odds good in this scenario.

Haha true enough my fellow gambl0r but in the Keefe era the Leafs are rarely such big odds underdogs. Infact I've seen many a time when they are given favorite odds on the road playing at a decent teams barn. I have never had the Leafs at 2.20 odds and I bet them nearly every game for years.

I think it's just another case of Keefe being terrified. He can't possibly play young players who may make a mistake against a high powered offense. Instead, he goes with "safer" options who make the same mistakes but do not have any upside.

And of course the Marner/Domi line lasted only one game even though they were really good together.

2-2 on this road trip and a split with the Jets wouldn't be too, too bad. As for tonight, Edm is due for some suckage.

Bouchard's shot is just what this team needs right now on the top pairing. Cant tolerate Rielly's flimsy little wrist shots and hoping it goes in off something. Miss the days of Bryan Mccabe's bullet shot on the PP.

This is a trap road trip. We've played a lot of hockey already, and we're playing every other night this week, and finishing the weekend of with a back-to-back (4 games in 6 nights). Brutal. Could just as well lose all 4 and walk a way with a couple OT points.

Holy hell. What a joke. Pietro should have been suspended for the rest of the playoffs for that.

NHL Player safety only cares about head injuries. You can intentionally break someone's arm and that's a slap on the wrist from them.
