If Treliving pulls a Dubas for throwing away draft capital for another first round exit or 2nd round embarassment given the weak defnese and weakness in goal I am gonna lost my mind more on Tre than I did on dubas

this is not the season to gamble draft capital with JT getting worse by the game. That 11 AAV that could be put to better use when he is off the cap; until then Leafs MUST hold on to draft capital and top prospects no matter what
I agree with this unless it's for someone with term.

Which is unlikely so this post is pretty much useless. Lol

Really liked Robertson last game, was hoping he’d be in again. I also get the impression that Keefe doesn’t like Bertuzzi for some reason.
Well he does turn the puck over too often and sometimes it's difficult to understand what his plan was to begin with.
There's no coach on the planet that isn't concerned when they see that

I make it a point not to miss Leafs games or NFL playoff games, even if it means PVRing and watching late.

The past few days have been killer. This west coast swing couldn't have come at a worse time. I'm exhausted!

Might have to quit my job to keep up.
I feel your pain, great time of year though!

I think the takeaway is Keefe has no ideas left.

Bad time to be playing the oilers, currently on a team record 10 game winning streak. Going to be a tough one.
The are heavy favorites this game too. Never got to pick Toronto at 2.20 odds before I had to double check I was getting it that good. I hope we are streak breakers tonight. Jones needs to get his west coast trip form back and I hope these line changes shake things up. It will be a tall task to win in their building but I feel like it could be a W. 4 game losing streak sounds bad.

If Bertuzzi doesn't play in the top 6 going forward, I wonder if he asks for a trade before the TDL. It is a contract year for him afterall.

If both teams played their absolute best game Edmonton would win something like 6-3 with an EN goal.
Based on what? Leafs have beat them 7 out of the last 10. How many games do they need to bring out their best? What you are really saying is if McDavid plays out of this world like he did last play-offs. Then sure I will give it to you. Other than that, the oilers are not a tough team to play against.

Coaches usually reward good play, though, and Robertson was probably our best forward on Sunday.

I think it's just another case of Keefe being terrified. He can't possibly play young players who may make a mistake against a high powered offense. Instead, he goes with "safer" options who make the same mistakes but do not have any upside.

And of course the Marner/Domi line lasted only one game even though they were really good together.

Time to turn my attention back to the Leafs after binging on football the past 3 days.

Would it be all that surprising if the Leafs went 5-1 over this tough 6 game stretch?

I would be happy with 4-2.
I wouldn't be surprised if they go on a mini heater to put out the fire that’s at their feet right now. It’s such a Leafy thing to do.

Leafs win big. Matthews has a hat trick and an assist, while McDavid gets blanked, proving he is the best player in the world. All's right in Leaf land again.
