Going to be honest here, sucks we lost but it was fun to watch Rielly and Kadri. I'm also really happy JVR is showing he can play without Kessel and Rielly with another goal is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing Gardiner again.

If Toronto can fix the PK, I don't want them too, but if they do they may make the playoffs. Toronto can compete 5v5!

The guy isn't elite. So stop expecting greatness.
What Kadri is, is a 50-55 point solid 2nd line C who is also chippy
He took 2 penalties but he made up for it and that's what good players do

Good players made of for it and that's what good players do....?

Oh yeah?

Good players WIN these hockey games like this.

Kadri didn't.

Not entirely sure I should be admitting as a Sens fan that I watched the entire Leafs-Yotes game because I wanted to  I find your team a lot more enjoyable to watch lately given how lackluster and uninterested most of my team has been playing lately. I think one thing that really impresses me the most is your teams no-quit attitude. That game would have been winnable if Reimer was better.

Okay how about Grabner? You told us he has an amazing D game and will win. And he is good. Remember that?

Sorry but Kadri is one of the 2-3 brightspots and he isn't reason we lost

And lets look at Ducks. Perry and Getzlaf aren't winning games, maybe they aren't good enough?

Bernier .902 (.916 career)
Reimer .890 (.912 career)
06/07 Rancroft .894 (.900 career)
07/08 Raycroft .876 (.900 career)

Some things never change.

Well let me ask you
What's worse

1. Saying Kessel isn't in the same stratosphere as Grabner.
Or

2. Kadri is reason why we lost today

Grabner has been a better player this season than Kessel.

Kessel has made pittsburgh even worse. They are not doing it right anymore. They lose games and do awful things. Kessel doesn't make others better like crosby and malkin do. Kessel makes others worse, he can't even play defense at all.

I concur, I wonder what would have happened if Babcock had a crack ay K----l and let Dion go instead...

That's not the point. Your bashing Kadri when he is not reason we lost. Blame that on Reimer.
Kadri is one of the reasons we almost made a comeback

I appreciate your comedic relief but you gotta stay somewhat in the realms of reality, it's only funny when people think there is a chance you actually believe what you post.

:amazed: Okay, now everyone can officially take what you have to say with a grain of salt. Grabner > Kessel  Bait material.

Good to know who that scapegoats are on the team...

Ridiculous.

We lost 4-3. It's actually good that we lost; Arizona may be a team we compete against for last place (even though they are hot), so it's good that we were close, but did not win.

Babcock needs to switch some things up. Far too many quality chances against and far too many defensive breakdowns; not enough conversions offensively. If we want to win more games, we need to be tighter all around.

The good news is, all of our players are making an excellent impression on the other team. That's all we need to attract other GM's.

I remember someone on this board said that Holland could be our # 1 centre.

That guy disappeared. :biglaugh:

We really needed a save in that one; the 2nd and 4th goals against were just a mess. Still not seeing a lot worth while performances from some of the new guys that we're supposedly planning to move, Grabner and PAP specifically tonight.

Holland found himself stapled to bench again.

On the plus side though.

Rielly, phenomenal.

Kadri was very good as well, I think the turning point for him was when he got pissed off after OEL hit him.

JVR had a pretty good game I thought as well.

Was very disappointed in Holland's lack of response. He's got some real talent but just little to no intensity to his game and it's showing (more) now with Babcock's system in place.

Rooting for him, but it's getting harder to justify.

Oh, Kessel is a problem.

He knows it, bozak knows it, carly knows it, I know it and us fans know it. He is LOSER hockey player for life. Makes others worse too while at it. Seen it happen. Proof evidence.

Just think of how amazing it will be when we have Auston Matthews, Morgan Rielly, Nazem Kadri, and Nylander and Marner on the same team.

I don't want to become the Edmonton Oilers. We need a top end defensemen in our prospect pool asap. Rielly will be great but I'm not sure he is not in the same mold as Doughty, Subban, Weber, etc. I don't think Rielly will ever be a #1 guy.

Our TD candidates don't look good at all. Might have to lower our expectations for our haul at the TD

Yep

MATTHIAS, SHAWN - 12:16
HOLLAND, PETER - 12:02
GRABNER, MICHAEL - 10:57
BOYES, BRAD - 10:24
ARCOBELLO, MARK - 10:23

Having the PP and PK be at least average would be a huge boost to the team. They'd be winning more games with that alone.

That's Babcock's plan. Keep it close, score on the PP or shootout. 2:1.

Don't fight or anything to get yourself in the box.

I miss the old days.
