Lot of people ripping on Kadri in the GDT despite him looking quite good. Finished the night with two assists and over 20 mins of ice time.
I just don't get it.

After the last two games, we must lead the league in goals against average with the goalie pulled.

Kadri,Reilly were amazing.
JVR, Phaneuf, Lupul, Komarov are the only other people that deserve to play on an NHL team.

I guess it'd be nice if they just made that fact a little less obvious.

Great game by Rielly and Kadri. Good game by JVR. Rest were average to bad.
Phaneuf and Hunwick might have been a bit better than average, but either way nothing really noteworthy about their games tonight.
Commentators were raving about his play tonight, and if you look in this thread you seem to be the only one upset with his play. Tonight didn't fit the agenda, that's okay, better luck to you next game.

I just don't get it.
He looked good and that's a positive but let's be fair they didn't come alive until we took out Hanzel and Vermette leaving Boyd Gordon as the best C for half the game.
Once we got Kadri/JVR away from them we came on.
The sad part is Holland,Grabner,Parenteau,Boyes,etc. still couldn't pick it up.

The funny thing is they rip Kadri the hardest when he's having a good game, but of course they disappear the instant he gets a point. It's obvious that some people are simply cheering against him.

The team was bad tonight against a very young team missing some of their top talent. The Leafs were at home and put up a stinker after playing some good hockey against Montreal.
The first two periods were a cure for insomnia. No passion. Losing battles. Nothing.
The 3rd was better. That's about the only story worth thinking about from this game. Feel sorry for those that out up a few hundred bucks for tickets to that.

Reilly played real good and wanted to win. I think kadri wanted to win too, but he is not good enough. He should be dominating these games against the rookie domi and not to be a chances getting noob who loses against the yotes... it's embarrassing. For kadri, not for me.
JVR, Phaneuf, Lupul and Komarov were really good too I agree. Very good.
I do not want this for kadri, I want wins. This losing stuff is embarrassing for him... he should show babcock who is the real number one center of the maple leafs. Not a loser for the rookie max domi LOL. That's noob kadri.
The guy isn't elite. So stop expecting greatness.
What Kadri is, is a 50-55 point solid 2nd line C who is also chippy
He took 2 penalties but he made up for it and that's what good players do

Bernier will give you the occasional great game tho. Reimer is just garbage night in and night out
However I cannot disagree. Please draft goalies this year

I am not as pessimist as most here. Sure we suck but that is because our forward group besides JVR, Kadri are not good. Most of these guys would be battling for 4th line mins on good teams
I love the compete babs has installed and can't remember when we have been able to cycle in the O zone and create zone time
Our talent is on the marlies so if they play the same system that talent will filter in later this year or next.
Expansion. Will help us get rid of Lupul and Bozak so clearing money off the books
Folks this year will be painful but a top 3 pick will set the rebuild ahead for years to come

Our TD candidates don't look good at all. Might have to lower our expectations for our haul at the TD
So apparently Kadri was the reason we lost eh? He and Rielly are the ones being great right now.

I think this is the sad part too. The tryout contracts this year aren't stepping up. Once we get past JVR, what's our winger depth?
Not that it matters for the next few years in terms of results. But does matter when we need to turn these players into picks.
