Changing or not changing the channel is easy. Delaying a trip to the bathroom when the Leafs are playing well can be painful.

but i said I think we tie it up when we pull Soup. that was with 4:30 left. Gold Star this way please.

So, you guys along with @keonsbitterness aren’t going to let me have this, huh?

B@$stards.

On to the next one. I hope they still have some mojo left for Boston.

Cheers boys.

I think Campbell deserves the vast majority of the credit he made about 5 game saving stops in the final 5 minutes.

I give credit where it's due and tonight about 90% of it belongs to Campbell
When you hold Tampa without a shot for a 13 minute stretch.....it's much more than the goalie. The Leafs were dominant at times.

Vasi is the only reason TB didn't get blown out.

Nothing like using the WHOLE run way to lift the plane into the air~!

Poorly officiated game tonight on many fronts. What was going on with the icings? Must have been 4 bazaar non-calls on them tonight. Way too many times Leafs were just dumped or mugged no call. Leafs got away with lots of those stick on stick plays that rode up onto the Lightning players hands. Those have been automatic calls this year. I have to admit I didn't remember there was a 2 minute hit to the head penalty. Thought hit to the head was a major with a game automatic.

Here we go. Didn't win good enough. Nothing is ever good enough.

Nothing suggests they didn't deserve that win. That is pure baloney and wrong. This game was not just Campbell.

Not true I called the last game against Vegas the best regular season performance since the lockout because it was.

Tonight I'm giving Campbell the majority of the credit because without him in the final 5 minutes they DO NOT get to overtime let alone win you knowif you watched tonight that it's true.

yeah I don't really understand why things only go one way. When the Leafs dominate and don't score (like for most of the game tonight) it's because the team isn't good enough. When the other team controls play and doesn't score, it's because the Leafs aren't good enough but got bailed out by goaltending

Something extra special about winning a game like that.

Lightning fans are so soft. You'd figure a franchise with back to back cups would be able to have a discussion without acting like p***yes.

Worth noting they're down their primary checking line from those cup wins and arguably their best players in Kuch.

This isn't THAT Tampa team, even if they are still elite. Vas was challenged more than ideal given Matthews and Marner largely mailed it in tonight

Yeah, you're right. They're not that Tampa team... I'm not necessarily awarding the Leafs huge style points for getting it donetonight but on a momentum building level they did find a way to break through offensively (which they didn't in the playoffs in close games) and it's still Tampa. So if they're building confidence, getting it done somehow, banking wins, it's positive.

I don't see it as a statement game either just a competitive win vs. an elite team. Our top players have another gear and they have one on IR. Nice that the PP won it for us though and we smelled a little blood in that OT especially on the 4on3.

And who sits to Mr.Throw 10 punches and then ride the pine?

It was more of just a joke that I hate Boston and would like the 6 foot 6 fighter to lay some big hits and punch that rat of theirs in the face, but I guess Engvall does nothing most nights so him, just for Saturday and send the big wrecking ball back down.

Both goalies were great and were large reasons why each team got at least one point. I think overall, it was a well earned 2 points. To be honest, had they only got the one point, I wouldn't have been terribly disappointed.

He was unreal, but that's what makes good teams. All of your players showing up to cover for others when it matters. Tampa didn't win 2 cups in a row without Vasu stealing his share of games.
To be honest, the leafs were getting goalie'd quite often this season that it's refreshing to see Campbell put up these kinds of performances. Vasilevskiy wasn't a slouch either so it's really good to see the big guns overcome that hurdle.

It's a good thing Campbell made some big key saves when arguably the best goalie in the world was doing the same at the other end, no?
