Post-Game Talk: Leafs strike lightning win 2-1 OT

I still believe they are a misconstructed team that isn't imho, built for the playoffs. Do I need to slather praise all over 1 win early in the regular season? So even when they're in there cycling and holding that puck for a lot of time as in the second and ripping off shots, it looks and feels like their spacing is off, they're not able to open a lot of seams in traffic, we're shooting into a crowd and our guys aren't in good positions to hunt rebounds. Feels like an element of the rope a dope in that respect. But a win is a win so you don't worry about that too much!

Seemed like it worked today for the most part. Not sure what makes Tampa Bay a team that deserved the win over the Leafs tonight. Seemed like as a whole, the game was very close. It could have gone either way.

For all the hooplah about the Leafs and their defensive struggles, keeping that team to a low amount of shots and chances, and just 1 goal... that's good.
 
Said it once, will say it a second time....As I have heard AND observed, Rielly is a hugely respected guy by his teammates.

Soon as he was signed, to a respectable contract. I said, watch the team settle down, and play some really cool, confident hockey...

This is a very big win... Vasi was like a brick wall tonight, but Jack won...

Dubas, keefe and Shanahan are going to have the most restful sleep that they have had for months...

Tasers by leaf nation were more than just on stun for weeks, for now in a long season, leafnation is happy.

They didn't deserve to win that game, Jack Campbell STOLE that game in the 3rd but nonetheless 3-0 on the current homestand

Get the defending team to come out and worry about our point
Which opens up space for our creative players and mistakes
Need shooters on pp for sure
I think Reilly is the one that doesn’t have to be there?

The bottom 6 played really well. Esp the Kampf line. They really don’t give up much to opposing teams and just crash the net non stop. Their offence will come at key moments.
Spezza and Simmonds are great, this is the first time Ritchie played solid.
The D looks great.
Soup is amazing.

Oh no. When I say the Leafs stole/snuck out the win, I'm not saying Tampa deserved it more, just that they are perfectly comfortable strangling an opponent in a 1-0 game aka successfully parking the bus. (Rewind to Game 7 vs the Islanders). So from their iron grip we snatched away the victory.

They didn't deserve to be down a goal going into the 3rd. Campbell is also part of the team. When we get beat by a goalie having an unbelieve performance it's becuase we suck. Now we're on the other end and you still complain?

I don't get why fans can't enjoy a win. Everyone says we are to run and gun/high flying offense that needs to win tight checking/playoff style games. We win a tight checking game against the defending champions and people still bitch.

This fanbase sucks.

Here we go. Didn't win good enough. Nothing is ever good enough.

Nothing suggests they didn't deserve that win. That is pure baloney and wrong. This game was not just Campbell.
