There was nothing stolen.

Leafs earned every inch of ice from the 2nd on and beat Tampa at their own game.

Meh. This Tampa team basically "parked the bus" in Game 7 to get by the Islanders 1-0, so they were in their comfort zone gutting it out and we got a huge goal by Tavares and a nice break in OT.

so impressed by the lily sandin pairing, i feel like their spacing and zone exits are the best on the team, they just dont allow alot of big shifts against because of it. i get so frustrated sometimes with some of other other dman who dont support each other properly by giving each other good options to relieve pressure.

I want to thank me, myself and I, the three most important reasons we won.

Take a number pal.

I’m the one who changed the channel after the 2nd period to break the crappy play, and look what happened.

You always have to change the channel when your team is playing badly and then put right back…..

…… just like you never change the channel when your team is doing well and winning.

That’s worth at least a game star…..

Andersen let’s in one of those breakaways in the 3rd that breaks us. Happy for him that he’s doing well in Carolina but Jack is our guy.
100% true. We go down 2-0 we score one and make it 2-1 but a little late. That blocker save had 90% net, Campbell had a forcefield or something

If TB is supposed to be a top-level team, and the Leafs can play that game against them...then isn't it fair to presume that things are looking quasi-positive for the Leafs right now? Heck, not everyone was A+ tonight, and I can't drop Ritchie fast enough in my keeper league, but on the whole, the team won the game when it looked like we wouldn't.

I know we generally find reasons to be...um, pessimistic...but tonight, everyone worked hard, Campbell was awesome, our top guys came through in the end, and that is what we want! We deserved to win as much as TB did, which means we don't entirely suck.

Go Leafs Go!

I'm loving Jack as well, he's elite but Andersen from 2017 to 2019 was elite himself. Dude was a top 7 goalie and had countless games where he made ridiculous saves for the team

He fell off his final year hard, with injuries, mental fatigue, and probably being aware he was being replaced being a factor.

Campbell is amazing, as was Andersen when he was here. Hopefully Campbell can get the job done along with the team in the 1st round, which we couldn't do with the Andersen backed teams unfortunately

Is Kadri willing to work a night for a little extra money? It'll be a short night, anyways. Suspensions not counted for this game.

Really though, I know we haven't played Boston in a while, but I'll hate Boston like as a Kid you'd pretty much always hate HHH in WWE.

Boston is the true bad guy of the NHL. The amazing dream/goal would be to beat them in the first round this year
In four straight.... After 'accidentally' taking out Bergeron.... On an OT goal by Kadri, who we reacquired at the trade deadline.

Also agree

I think the big factor is they very calm and don’t rush into mistakes
Good to see in such young players
With their contract situation also they are gonna be huge for this teams future

Plus they have so much chemistry with each other, a very smooth and well connected pair, buh bye Holl!

It's possible to simultaneously believe that Freddy completely shit the bed for us last year (not our D's fault) and he rebuilt himself very well for Carolina this year, despite some of the things you read around here.

Who cares about him at this point anyway - Jack is a stud and he loves playing for us.

Nylander - Matthews

Have them watch Draisaitl and McDavid on the PP.

Out west I see a lot of it, and that 4-3 was edging towards that scenario.

Nylander has to be a shooter on the PP.

They seem to respectfully defer to each other a little too much. Just let her rip on the 5 on 3.

Matthews was calling for so many shots but was very trigger shy.
