Matthews laughing while being ragdolled would be better received if we'd gone on to win the series. Similar to Bergevin pointing at the TV when it obviously wasn't goalie interference, or Kotkaniemi giving 4 fingers to the stands before losing. Anything "funny" that could've been drawn from the series is flushed down the toilet because this team ultimately failed in spectacular and embarrassing fashion, as usual.
Anyway, I can sort of see what Matthews is trying to do, but on the other hand not fighting back and letting himself get tossed around doesn't inspire confidence or portray strength. Like sure it "doesn't bother him" was what he was trying to go for but he's a big man himself, shove them back, get a facewash in. You're teammates are jumping in to your defence, the least you could do is grab a guy.
