Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I don't get it, and I defend him a lot too. Or I have at least. Right now I am not going to assume he is going to break out. I did last year. The way he ended the season and the postseason he had made me think he is a guy we can see flank the left side on an Olympic team some day. But he is one of those players that shows flashes of brilliance but spaced FAR apart. Patrick Marleau, if people remember, came into the league as a guy who was expected to have a better career than he did. Once in a while he made a nice move, did a nice rush and it made you think "Why can't he do that all of the time?" And this was when he was younger too. So you assumed he'd put it all together and be a star but he never was. He was just merely good. Lafreniere isn't even that. Marleau at least legitimately made some Olympic teams.
I don't get it with him. He was so good as a junior in the QMJHL. Had "NHL star" written all over him. A great WJC in 2020. Definitely solidified that he is a 1st overall pick at the time. I don't know if he just is a poor candidate to translate into the pro game or what but I always thought he had some NHL chops to him.
