As has been suggested, the term isn't an issue as long as the AAV is right. Cap will continue to rise, to in his 3rd or 4th year if Leafs feel a need to move on, they can.Probably 1yr too long but that's barely a gripe when you are smack dab in the middle of your contention window. It's not like you guys have too any long contracts besides Reilly anyways so plenty of flexibility, plus a low AAV.
Great signing imo. He can probably benefit any of your lines, or at the very least the bottom 9.
I try and be positive and hope all teams succeed for the full term of their contract.
There is a reason I wanted Mik and Engvall traded at last years deadline. Play style and contract considerations (especiailly Mik of course). I suppose it's a tough call when going into what you hope will be a long run each post season.
