IMO, it's fine to chirp another fanbase but keep it to your own board.

Since we are in Calgary, pushed him towards Calgary ... an okay team.

The only way to stop the talk about 50 shades of failure is to win.

Leafs had a decent run Sittler, Gilmour, Sundin but they always came up short.

What was the saying spend like the Yankees win like the NY Jets? Okay, just made that up.

I haven't given up on the Leafs, I just acknowledge they really haven't done anything special since my childhood. The current version does provide more positive entertainment during the regular season than any version in forever, but we can't all swim in the Nile, post-season ouch!!!

Panthers will be at home and won't be easy, of course depends on which Bob shows up.

Theyre a weird bunch of people thats for sure. I think theyre honestly the most annoying fanbase on the mainboards (which says something cause theres like 10 of them). Their obsession with the leafs is strange.

Hopefully a 'meaningless Leaf win' will quiet them for a bit, doubt it though.

A win would be nice but all I really want from this game is Bennet's blood

Just saw Bennet wasn't dressed.. he must of got a Reeves flu or something, I heard that's going around lately...

Do you think it might have something to do with how Leafs fans talked about the Panthers before that series last year?

I mean sure, but I cant control what others say or do. I wanted the Leafs to play Boston. Can't always get what you want. Just hella ironic going on about leaf fans cheerin for winning a round yet they wont stfu about beating the Leafs. Literally got a post in their GDT sayin beatin the leafs in the series was his stanley cup 🤣

Couldnt imagine caring about another team that much.

Meh, lots of Leafs fans are equally ignorant. It's the nature of the beast. My guess is that by the end of the season Panthers fans won't have much to cheer about. I think their defensive injuries will put them in tough to even make the playoffs.

Its really just a few panther posters on this site that are extremely annoying and toxic/trolls. Literally have one of them with an avatar of bennett mauling Knies. Its just weird. Never seen anyone else's fanbase react in a similar manor to beating the leafs. They feel the need to just go into every Leaf thread and shit on them at any cost.

There's 4-5 Panthers fans who are truly unhinged and think about us far more than we think about them. Watching them dissapear after getting drubbed in Finals, only to resurface as "lol at least we beat the Leafs" types was bizarre as hell.

Beating the Leafs is legimitately the most important thing to a good number of posters on this site. Half of their emotional investment seems to be tied to being able to come back on here just to chirp.

For sure and once that was over they were quickly forgotten until today.
Their and most other fanbases obsession is 324 days a year.
 
Was really hoping Bennett played, Panthers fans really are clueless. Some dude said he "ragdolled" Knies :laugh: That's what happens when you have to give out free jerseys, tickets + hotdogs to attract fans.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the boys respond to Florida, or if Florida tries the same crap they pulled during the series now that we added some more toughness. Doubt it though, no Gudas, Bennett not playing, Reaves policing the game.

Hoping for a blowout W obviously but more interested in seeing how the game plays out. This is the first real game of the year where the added grit/toughness needs to be a factor. Let's see what the new guys have got.

That poster has a habit of bragging about all kinds of meaningless nonsense, that's why. It was just a post dude, one of hundreds (or thousands) that are made here every day and I can't help it if it upset you somehow so all I can say is don't let it get to you. The post also got a bunch of likes and I only mention that in response to you calling my posts "bizarre". Some people like/dislike some posts, some people like/dislike other posts, it's no big deal either way but if my posts upset you, you always have the option of not reading them. Cheers and GLG!!

Edit - if you have an issue with a specific post, that's one thing - feel free to quote me and discuss. A blanket statement however like calling my opinions and posts "bizarre recently" - that's just condescending arrogance that's not really worthy of a response. I just replied back to another thread with this poster regarding this. We are all strangers and leaf fans here but there responses to posts are not healthy. I just hope they are doing in the real life as the way they respond to such meaningless stuff does worry me. I just hope all is well and they don’t take this stuff with strangers so seriously.

This is misleading. He’s never been 0.5 in his career so not sure why you are including that in the range you put. He’s been close to .9 points his career but don’t see you mentioning that in your range. He’s also played for crap teams over the past few years, so don’t think it’s unreasonable for someone to expect he’d perform better on the leafs.

It’s been 3 games so far, which is nothing really, but regardless he’s been bad so far along with most of our team.
