A very talented offensive defenseman. One of the Best skating Finnish defenders since Heiskanen. Not the strongest defensive guy and shot could be better. Went a bit under the radar past couple years since he stayed in his hometown Joensuu Jokipojat which has no U20SM team instead played U20 Mestis there. Late 2007. Top Finns 2026 Draft.

2026 draft is looking very good for defensemen. Svensk, Alalauri, Piiparinen, Laatikainen, Uronen and there are even some other potential guys like Julius Suominen and Jonne Parkkali.

Svensk's production hasn't been anything special but his skating is definitely a tool that can take him surprisingly far if he is able to develop his overall game.
