A first round pick is nothing?
He certainly was put into a primary offensive position with Washington, and put up some points for them. I've always liked him, and wish his continued success. But, he was a -7 in 19 games with them. He put up points, but was terrible defensively for them. I'm not sure that catching fire. The problem with Sandin was a combination of below average skating, and small size. He's always had an offensive flair, but his deficiencies were there. At this point, neither his size, nor his skating ability appear to be getting any better... as much as I liked him, moving on from him was the right move.
Detroit laughs and hangs up the phone, then blocks your number. It's just not even close.
