If the Leafs lose, I will not watch a single minute af any other game. The NHL allows this kind of bullshit reffing, they don’t deserve any support from us. Let the American teams enjoy their playoffs and give their support.
This.

I'm a Leaf fan. I watch the Leafs. When they're out, I'm out.

The officiating and DoPS is a joke. Bettman is a clown. There's a reason he gets booed relentlessly every time he hands out the trophies. The fans know.

I will say that I'm glad the Leafs didn't get caved this game.

In terms of series clinching games where they had the opportunity to win, this is one of the better efforts. They can't let the loss rattle them and just keep grinding.

I'll be incredibly disappointed if they come out flat in game 7 ... show us something to believe in.

I gotta be honest... I do wonder how hard that is, but I have an appreciation for sticking with your team regardless... kinda like all us losers here I guess... but damn man that is some kinda double whammy.
I'm a Leafs/Browns fan because my dad in his 70's loves them. It's one of our connections. Being one of these neutral or non-existent fan type person would feel like stabbing him in the back. Has been being a Leafs/Browns fans sucked? Absolutely. But, the moments of happiness of joint celebration has been worth it. And, to cheer for any team cuz they are better/"exciting" would be a sell out move.

Obviously pessimistic, but cheering for us until the last whistle. Even if I don't agree with moves or certain hires. This is my team. I'll be a fan long after any player/managment is around. So, even if I'd like to be proven right, it is strongly outweighed by just wanting "One before I die."

That was particularly brutal given the timing at that point in the game and the fact that it was 2 embellishments for a 5 on 3. I’m willing to bet, bad officiating or not, that is some extra bs. Oh and leafs got 1 PP….
That's my point. We have seen that the Leafs usually get called for stuff they don't call other American teams for. So why do we think that will change in game 7?

Another game 7 lose might be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people in this fan base. All the young kids who have grown up with this team and seen nothing but failure.

Games 5 and 6 were thoroughly entertaining games against the Stanley Cup champs. This has been a great series and the big boys have showed up. Game 7 at home is why the stretch run in March and April was so important…go into game 7 with negative vibes all you want, personally I’m excited for it and I’ve usually been a glass half empty guy with this particular core, the team has showed up this series and I think they’ll carry it over to game 7

I’m calm when I watch these games but the one extra pass in overtime really brought out the worst in me. Throw puck in high danger area and create chaos.

I’m still shaking my head here. Pass up enough chances and the other team is bound to score.

Matthews bailing as a UFA will do that to this fan base. 0% chance hes sticking around this mess for another eight years.

I thought I had it tough being a leafs and dolphins fan. At least you have some playoff wins recently with the browns. I feel your pain.

this one hurts in a different way. I was disgusted with the team after Montreal but I'm proud of them tonight. Look I'm tired of moral victories too but I can't lie, I think they played well and deserved better. They had heart tonight which hasn't always been the case.
No question that they had enough heart and effort tonight, what they lacked was class. They couldn't score when they needed to, and, again, in a critical game, their goalie out dualed ours by just enough.

The Leafs have a losing culture, driven by intangibles. It showed up, again, tonight. They can redeem it on Saturday.

Sport is unforgiving. Just win.

I've said it a few times over the last 6 years; the league treats the Matthews iteration of the Leafs like they're the 2002 Domi-Tucker iteration in the playoffs and they have to be beaten down if they play even slightly physical...

But as a result we get stuff like not playing our hitters and guys not taking the body when they should, because no one knows if hitting a player is going to be a penalty...

Ask yourselves why the majority of players who come to the Leafs stop hitting, even if hitting was a major part of their game. Considering Keefe's teams in the past were gritty hitting teams, I don't think it's either him or Dubas. It's because hitting = penalties in Toronto.
The 2018 series vs Boston made it abundantly clear to me how the league is going to treat this new Leafs team.

Game 1 the first period the Bruins were literally trying to injure the Leafs every shift. It was a shitshow that boiled over and by the 3rd period, Kadri tried fighting fire with fire and ofc he's the only one who got suspended even though Marchand, Pastrnak and Debrusk all did equally as bad shit.

But the media targeted Toronto and made Kadri the devil and the silly Leafs fans went along with them and threw their own player under the bus. A lot of this problem is people in general not being critical thinkers and being unable to see the bigger picture of things - so much that Leafs fans got fooled by their own media into thinking Kadri was the only bad guy.

We had a rerun of this in 2019 with Kadri getting suspended again and once again the dumb Leafs fans bought into the media narrative of Kadri being the bad guy and the dirty Bruins players slipped between the cracks again because the media did not put any attention on them.

So, uh, would you call the Amazing Tampa Bay Diving Show a great example of class?
