I think we learnt some good stuff tonight, legitimately.

The support caat did their job. They didn't back down. They stayed aggressive and stayed in the game. That bodes well.

Looks like it is Sammy's net even though the organization looks to be wanting Woll to win the job. We got outgoalied in both games.

Edmundson needs to come in for Liljegren in the playoffs because the Bruins will target him all series and he won't stand up for himself, leading others to not only have to worry about their own game, but his too.

We need to pick up a pking forward tomorrow and remove Nylander from the PK.

We really, really, really need to sit the core 4 down in a room with Sheldon and Brad and have a conversation. We need to find out what it is that they want. What are you wanting to achieve here? What does that look like in their eyes? What do they feel the have to do in order to achieve that?

We won't go anywhere the way the four of the played in the last two games against Boston. There needs to be a clear the air talk with them. Their play is simply unacceptable given what they wanted (and what we gave them) to be paid.

If we can sort this out, we will beat the Bruins in the playoffs, I am sure of it.

Ask the core four what they want ? Where’s the accountability to what the coaches and management want ? And I can answer your question. They want to be (Over)paid, to show up when it suits them and never get hit.

I wanted severe changes made after the Columbis loss. That was 6 or 7 years ago. I've given up hoping for what needs to be done, actually getting done.

We let players go we shouldn't have and made stupid trades. I'm just looking at beating Boston at the moment.

I take issue with Tavares being represented here, tbh. Say what you will about his play on the ice, which admittedly hasn't been good this year, but the guy took less money to come and play here. Of the four, he's the only one who didn't milk the team for every possible cent at every possible opportunity.

He chose to be paid handsomely in Toronto as opposed to being paid handsomely somewhere else. There isn’t anything really special about that. Not like an especially remarkable decision. Plus whatever immunity shield has worn off ages ago. He’s awful.

The core 4 are beyond soft, the sad thing is with ALL that skill, the team had a MARGINALLY better result that Kessel/Kadri's Leafs (2 more playoff wins in a playoff).

Sure, but the implication of the photo is that the core 4 are motivated purely by money, which I simply don't think is true in Tavares' case. He was going to get paid no matter where he went. He took less money than other teams offered to play here. As such, he is the only one of the four who gave the team any sort of "discount" for his services. That's just a fact and it has no relevance to his play on the ice.

I don’t get how no one in this group reached a Nathan Mackinnon moment and just said “it’s not good enough I haven’t done anything in this game” and then just matured into a championship caliber star player with a focus to win. Edmonton is so up and down in their quest but you don’t look at McDraisaitl if they’re serious competitors. Our guys just seem so easily satisfied and bored of the game, can’t be bothered. Follow up a successful stretch with an awful letdown. Get muscled out of a playoff series. They’re just weak.
