Didn't start well enough and it cost us. Our powerplay is concerning. Hopefully they get it sorted out before the playoffs.

We were due, it happens, streaks end on to the next game. My guess is there will be a short cooling off period so maybe the next game is a bit of a stinker as well. The important thing will be to bounce back before too long. Not worried. I take great joy in reading the other boards and just how worried they are about a deep Leafs PO run.

Just cought the last few minutes. Were the lines shuffled? Was galchenyuk replaced with Thornton?

keefe was really experimenting a lot in the third. I do think it ultimately cost us and killed some momentum. Marner line look good with Galchenyuk but then he got moved to the fourth for some reason. JT line should have played a lot more in the third, they were the best line tonight

Makes no sense to give Robertson a chance only to give him no chance. Our PP is a complete joke lately, why not give him a look?

Why not trying anything and everything?

Like, give someone else a chance ? like send a message by giving someone else a chance

Just give Thornton Manny's assistant position so he can be in the locker room and doesn't have to play lol

It's not like Malholtra is doing anything with the job

I smell another loss tomorrow night !!! 6 in a row was too good to be true with this Leafs team !!! I'm sick and tired of no name average paid players looking like stars while our stars barely show up !!!

I was against signing Marleau, and I was even more against signing Thornton !!! Babcock overplayed Marleau, now Keefe is overplaying Thornton !!!

Ridiculous poor D from Rielly. He IS NOT a number 1 D !!! He should have been packaged for a REAL number 1 D today !!!

Sorry but we can't be dressing guys out of respect in a year our odds are sky high to win the cup. You go with your best 18, no questions asked. No country club garbage.

Joe is a legend but it's time to end his stint with the Leafs. Can use him as a spot starter to close out the season but that's as far as I'd go.

THE GOOD: not really

THE BAD: nope really bad, piss poor effort by everyone not named Tavares, Hyman was off and Mik needs those two going to do his thing and way too too much Joe

THE UGLY: Joey Joey Joey, You've had such a great career don't let this be what folks remember, you gotta hang up the gloves champ, it's over, bad back LTIR is the solution

All the stupid f***ing cute plays; blind passes to no one; defensive zone giveaways

AND

Leafs' kryptonite: Opposition clogging up the neutral zone forcing them to dump the puck

=

Loss

What an absolutely PATHETIC EFFORT

I went from high of the trade deadline to low in a snap.

f*** THIS SHIT
Wow . How upset would you be if the Leafs weren't running away with the East?

Other thoughts:

-Thornton is really bad. You don't want to hammer on a good human story there, but can we just play him 9 minutes and let him lead on the bench and in the room? He looks like a table hockey hockey guy who is skating on a rail, swat the puck wildly and can spin around 360 but that's about it.

-Robertson was buzzing but not really ready to have an impact. He looks really busy and wants to be in the mix, but I think when he gets going for real he's going to have to relax and not chase the game as hard as he does.

-Rielly has been so bad on the PP. The inability to move the puck to his right hand side seems like a glaring technical issue that teams are either keying in on now and exploiting. Just take away his space and he'll drift left, throw the puck left or lob it towards the net with his muffin shot. Nothing is working for him right now.

-Tavares looks good. His touch around the net has been kinda janky but I think that's his style and he scored a big one for us to make it 2-2.

-Campbell might be coming back down to earth a bit, but some of the big saves in the third gives me hope he's still battling hard. Rittich may be a very important addititon to give us more of a platoon option and to help Campbell.

-I joke about Manny Malhotra, but what exactly is he writing up for the troops on the attack? His PP planning is abysmal and the first PP we got tonight was a dog's breakfast PP2 Frankenstein unit. Galchenyuk on the point was suicidal.

-Galchenyuk is a nice story and I wish he had scored vs Montreal tonight, but he can also be a pretty low IQ player with his decisions with the puck. Harness his enthusiasm, size, and offensive touch, but beware.

-Matthews continues to score which is nice, and Marner made a great play to him on the first goal. Other than that the chemistry wasn't too good tonight.

Jumbo can bring his voice & good character to practice, he's hurting them in games; it's too much to try and accommodate & shelter him in the lineup.

Maybe with some rest he can keep up with the pace of the game again, but until then he should not be apart of the top 12 forwards dressing nightly.

Meh, the boys were like us and more interested in the TDL than this game

I think this will help the boys get motivated for the game tomorrow where we will see a far better effort

Can't be great every night over a long season

Can’t win them all.

I am more concerned with some of play of individuals then the actual result.
