I thought same thing .. we were winning game and outplaying them thru 1st .. only negative was JT whose line got caved all period .. so he sabotaged our best line to prop up our weakest line in 2nd and guess what team spiraled downward into 3rd .. there is far too much politics in this coach .. bottom line JT is no longer a C in this league (or if he is then it is in a 4th line role) .. or he can be a 2nd line LWer i think .. as soon as team moves him off C you will see an improvement .. again biggest issue we got is we are getting CAVED at C ice and it is putting too much pressure on a non NHL D core

Mitch.... Both giveaways should upset you! Also those plays you "make all the time".. Are soft high risk plays that team first players don't make. They go along with not getting a penalty for lobbing the puck over the boards in a game 6 playoff elimination game and not lobbing a hail mary pass in different game 6 elimination game.

I'll do my best buddy. The people around me better not call me out or they're going to be escorting me out and I'm taking someone with me! This type of mental weakness from the players to Keefe to Dubas has got to stop.
Players: golfing, relaxing, boating, grown men throwing tantrums, having fun during a pathetic stretch is unconsionable. Pathetic giveaways, not starting games strong, not starting 2nd periods with any purpose, etc.
Keefe: Walks back comments that were totally appropriate. Continues to play Holl top 4 minutes. Starts Kallgren 2 out of the 3 games. No accountability, etc.
Dubas: His tenure will be judged by not being able to improve the roster because of overpayments to certain players ( you know, the guy who uses "shambles" out of context and blames the fans and who throws hissy fits).
Shanahan: The Shanaplan has proven to be flawed from hiring a rookie GM to refusing to act on abysmal playoff efforts.

This is a stretch. He took responsibility and mentioned he needs to be more certain when making plays in his own zone and at the top of the o-zone. He said he fumbled the puck on the second one and that it was his fault. I don't where you think he defended things.
It was a bad night for 16 don't get me wrong, he needs to be better on the puck and choose a different option on that second give away especially.

Matty was not great but he was better last night .. Mitch made a couple bad giveaways which directly led to 2 goals against and then when Keefer was talking to team and explaining da giveaway issues Mitch decided to go AWOL .. I think real issue is Mitch went AWOL .. he has played fine for first 9 games although he suffered point reductions playing with an out of shape Matty .. to me, like I gave Willy a pass game before, I will do same for mitch this past game .. no one is playing hard every single game for 82 games of pro hockey

He's been a top 3-5 player the past 2 years but he's not played like an elite 1C yet so far.

Samsonov was the right move. But Dubas should have been finding a serviceable backup instead of f***ing Matt Murray. WTF was this guy thinking man.

Matthews has been slightly better, hitting and a little better than Marner defensively. Both guys need to be significantly better but Marner has had the far worse start to the season between the 2. Also because Matthews is the face of the franchise, he gets a little more leash.

The best players for the day should be rewarded more minutes, no matter wich names are on the sweater. Hate that hierarchy stupid way of coaching. Effort must be rewarded.

Because he isn't talking it up in the media or throwing tantrums in the tunnel, I'd guess. Also, this isn't new for Marner. He's mentally weak. When it gets tough like it is now, he crumbles. We've been seeing it for years.

He has 2x gm of the year out of the last 3.

Yeah Marner needs to stop speaking.
He has great intentions but he just seems to make things worse.
Both been bad and not playing to their standard. But Matty didn’t gave up two turnovers that led to goals and threw a tantrum last night.
Keefe was worst with the way he coached the game.
MM is not really the brightest whenever he speaks.
