If you're going to crap on a Nick Foligno trade, at least give me something better than Taylor Hall. Cmon.
Why are you not harping on the Foligno trade? There’s only one possible way to access it, F-

Let’s stop the Lou Vs Dubas debate.
Let’s say Dubas is better than Lou, what is the records with Dubas’s Leafs in the playoffs?
The point is not to be better than previous GMs, it is to be the GM that construct a Cup winning Team. Dubas has not done that, heck, his team haven’t even win a playoff round.
I could careless if Lou wins the Cup with whatever teams as long as Dubas’s Leafs win the Cup.

I am not making it a debate. I am commenting on Lou as a GM in general.

So am I. Let’s start a chant, any chant, against this gutless, heartless team put together by an administration and coaching staff who aren’t very good at their jobs.
I have a feeling if Flyers win on Wed, jerseys will be thrown on the ice.
You just know it is going to happen.

We were on track....then Shanny decided a woke, rookie GM was gonna tell Babcock how to hockey.

I knew it was over right then and there sadly.

Good point - and it's more solidified because Babcock was hired by that other team almost instantly and they've been winning ever since.

Glad we cleared that up might be time to stop making excuses for Dubas running a team full of gifted generational talent into the ground then

You saying he's run this team into the ground is hyperbolic nonsense. Always has been. Always will be. It's a ridiculous thing to say.

He was given a team that had the franchise record for points and by your own metric has achieved nothing even though the generational talent he was given is in its prime.

That's running it into the ground.

Remember he's a loser according to your own process. Literally has accomplished 0 that wasn't already done before he arrived

Taylor Hall at that value is better than Nick Foligno.

Yeah but he's not from northern Ontario

I know you Dubas homers are really struggling with eating your crow. But I'll continue to laugh should you not head my advice. Been doing it for 5 years now.

I'm actually excited about the Leafs again! His time is near. And we need him gone to move forward.

Don't throw your jerseys on the ice Wednesday. Instead return them to the nearest concession stand and demand a refund.

One good thing for them is there is lots of hockey left and lots of teams are at or near the .500 mark. At least they are dealing with some adversity.

Curious to see how the next 10 games shake out.
I'm curious to see how they do vs Boston especially. Big Saturday night hockey game.

Babs 100% decided that getting 5 mil a year to do nothing was the way to go.

Might have also decided to come back ( and lessen the impact on mlse) if dubas didn't ruin his rep through Media leaks on the way out to justify the firing.

Was one if he most unprofessional hachet jobs I've ever seen

His big issues from the gun are not adjusting to what his coach might have wanted to fit their system and instead trying to make the team play hockey how he thought it should be played.

It's why hes so attached to keefe

Is anyone enjoying this more than Mike Babcock right now?

Trying to keep it above the line, but it just feels so damn bleak right now, in a way I don't remember feeling since the dark days after Sundin left.

It feels like everyone is just waiting for something to happen, but I can't think of one simple thing happening that will right this.

It looks like each and every player is struggling with their confidence in themselves and each other, and have forgotten how to play basic, simple hockey. It's really mind-boggling to see, to be honest.

It's pretty hard to watch this right now, as it really doesn't feel like there is an easy solution. :(
The obvious move was to change the core after the Montreal collapse. Instead Dubas decided to stubbornly tinker around the edges and now it’s going to cost him his job.

They need a new GM and coach who will kick some ass and make the necessary roster moves to build a playoff team.

Get rid of Matthews now while he still has some value. Wow, he got a goal that he misfired on amd slid along the ice. Gibson read the press clipping and thought he had a shot. You can give Marner away, if anyone would be foolish enough to pay his salary, pacifier included.

There was literally no chance that relationship had a chance of working. ZERO.

How do you go from 'There will be pain' to 'There will be Safe Spaces'?
