I remember a lot of people excited by that trade. It didn't work out. That happens.
It was a bad trade. And the dude was rested literally the game before because he was injured. Hall was better value.

Ah yes. The narrative that Lou is this god like figure of nothing but winning. All that winning he's done since 2003. So much winning Donald Trump would blush.

My point is, we need to stop painting Lou like he was some sort of saviour. He did nothing of note in Toronto. He has done nothing of note in New York and he largely did nothing of note in New Jersey since the lockout of 2005.
I'm just pointing out how your position is completely baseless. 6-0. End of story. There's no debate. Lou has had more success than Dubas in the same timeline.

He did plenty of note. He got us bac into the playoffs after a very long drought. You just refuse to eat your crow. We clearly made the wrong decision.

6-0 :)

Mitch Marner can go f*** himself along with his toxic father and posse around him and the culture he has brought to this team. William Nylander has been ragged on for years and years by fans and media, has had to endure tons of disgusting and xenophobic comments and is constantly the whipping boy yet he never complains and just comes out and plays. Nylander has played through adversity better than any of the other core guys have, and even tonight despite being the team's best player so far he had to be the one demoted to his unnatural position to 'balance' the lineup and delivered two assists in the process.. He played far less than the other core guys did but do you see him throwing a tantrum? No. Marner gets benched for a shift and his whole world comes crashing down. f*** this kid

Marner is a little punk that got a huge payday for nothing. If it wasn't for his greed maybe the Leafs would have won a round or two.

Im prepared guys, this will be the most embarrassing loss of the season.

GLG
I told you we would lose this game in the most embarrassing manner. It was written in the ethos. Fate.

We're going to play an average game against Philly. But by God, you bet your ass, we're going to destroy Boston. Thats just how this team works.

From there we will go on a good run.

Team is playing like an entitled bunch. and even worse, they look bored and uninterested... Thats all to do with lack of motivation - which is concerning. But they are better than this. They need a spark.

I remember that Washington series. The team played with so much energy and desire. Such a bright future wasted.

Good for Lou. He's been irrelevant since 2005.

Dubas has never been relevant by that metric.

We have a team that just got body bagged by the two worst teams in the league ( and the yotes)

Lou accomplished the exact same regular season accomplishment that Dubas has ( team points record without actually winning the division and a first round loss)

No, I think it has more to do with Toronto Sports media being perpetually negative and getting the fanbase to buy it. Negativity sells. That's why they do it. People as a whole general sense just cannot think for themselves.

It's why Kerfoot is so hated right now for no particular reason. It's a bunch of bleating.
Give me $11 million and I would work my ass off to prove you all wrong. These guys say, " Oh my dear, you said I suck so, I'm gonna go in a corner and sulk.. " F*** these guys. You're not happy, give me my money back and f*** off.

So they both suck by that metric.

Lou got the Leafs back to winning. Prior to last regular season, Lou's Leafs had the best record in Leafs history. But thats not saying alot since Lou's Leafs still ended up losing in the first round.

Don't discredit Lou when Dubas is struggling with his Leafs. If Dubas Leafs actually done something in the playoffs like Conf Finals, or even winning the Cup, you wouldnt even care whats Lou done since he left the Leafs. Deep down to the core is the fact that Dubas's Leafs are just a playoffs team that couldnt past the first round, it has nothing to do with Lou's team making to the ECF twice. If Dubas's Leafs actually won a few rounds and even the Cup, would you even bring up Lou have not win the Cup in the Cap era?
