Spezza had a pretty dirty pile drive on him as Pionk lost his stick and dove to clear the puck with his hand. That caused a scrum. It was pretty cool

Gotta respect Spezza for standing up for teammates, but you also need to see that level of hostility come from Ritchie (who really isn't that kind of player, granted). Clifford probably would have sent a bigger message drilling Pionk into the end boards or take it out on Dubois. That lower in the lineup fight vs Dillon doesn't interest me that much.

Wish we had Jumbo beat the crap out of one of their stars again.

I hope the team can re-group and get back to the winning ways. These last 2 games have been very inconsistent but I don’t think they were completely horrible. If this is as bad as it gets, then things are looking good.

Leafs arguably deserved a better fate against Minnesota, tonight was always going to be tough to get a result, doesn’t help when the refs are incompetent.

Ritchie went after Dubois. In typical Dubois fashion, he hid behind the linesmen. The guy is never held accountable. The refs were protecting the Jets like they were their children. Hell, Stanley somehow doesn't get an extra 2 for being the 3rd man in. NHL officials continue to show that they dont know how handle any situation and they don't know the rules. They make the call on the Sandin hit and that period doesn't turn into the shit show that it was.

Only reason why Maurice has a job in the NHL is because he has a silver tongue. For a guy who has like over 25 years of NHL coaching and missed the playoffs 50% of the time he sure has job security that doesn't match his coaching abilities. His press conferences in Toronto were so annoyingly wordy and pointless.
