Very weird how excited they were, you would think they won the Stanley Cup. Leaf players should be flattered. Dubois is embarrassing, plays dirty but then is celebrating like a 10 year old for players on his team who stand up and fight for him.

Stanley hyping the crowd because he was the third man into a conflict and had two other Jets and the two linesmen surrounding him and Simmonds. What a f***ing tough guy.

No idea how they let Dubois wrangle Matthews for 10 seconds without blowing a whistle. Yet when the Leafs engage with someone they blow it dead right away.

Or what's Paul Maurice jawing about on the bench? The Winnipeg Jets are a team that head hunts when the other team is scoring EN goals (Jake Evans by Mark Schiefele and Neal Pionk on Marner).

Game MISmanagement 101.

We've seen it in the past.

You let shit like Dubios' garbage go and the game ends up with injured players and suspensions.

And then when players try to sort it out (e.g. Simmonds wanting to fight middle of the 3rd), that's when refs decide to call it?
Can’t agree more. ‘Offsetting penalties’ was the sign this was a free for all. f***ing idiots those refs are. Matty did nothing

All the laughing at the end by the Jets, all good..enjoy it while it lasts…tons of motivation for a an absolute destruction when they visit Toronto

“Just missing someone plowing Hellebuck into the crossbar”

Very classy.
Leafs never run goalies, but it seems they get run 3 times a year at least and pretty sure this is the 2nd time by Winnipeg within two seasons. I noticed Nylander take a crosscheck after the whistle in the crease on the late powerplay, interestingly Ritchie was in the same crease after the whistle on the next shift and a defender gently put his hand on him and tried to guide him out of the crease. This is the importance of size - too bad Ritchie doesn't seem like the Wilson type though.

Really interested to see if there's suspensions coming

Feels like the Dubois knee was as egregious as Spezza, then the obvious Pionk knee.

Ritchie hasn’t been scoring but biggest dissappontment I at least expected to see him throwing his weight around, big hits

guess he’s too slow

If there was ever a moment to get nasty it would have been taking a shot at Dubois after his escapades on Matthews, but I guess it was his birthday.

Nice to see some push back and rough stuff from our side. Sick of watching teams push us around with no answer. I don't care if Toronto sports media pundits hand-wringing and I don't care if other fans think we're dirty or classless. Sports is the one place where stooping to someone elses level is often the best thing you can do.

Good to see the boys show some fight. Stanley is lucky the refs protected him cause Simmonds would of hurt him pretty bad

That too... Simmonds was trying to fight someone else and Stanley jumps into the crowd and starts throwing at Simmonds whose looking a different way. What a bunch of regular tough guys the Jets have haha.

Oh and props to Spezza and Matthews for not rolling over and turning their backs on cowards. You let the others take your lunch and they will.

Always want to see a W on the scoreboard, but the team did a great job in terms of physical pushback. This is a team that won't back down and give better than they get in that regards. Simmonds alone gave it to them with tons of intensity.

Lots of reffing issues to be displease.with, from Matthews getting mauled with no call, to TWO knees to the head from Jets players.
