Why were the officials so worried about protecting Winnipeg Jets players from a normal fight situation from Wayne Simmonds? They can dish it out but they can't dance?

I don't care about the 2 points, I care about the response more. At first I was worried about the lack of one but then the boys did it right. Spezza, Simmonds, Clifford did it right.

In fact that probably sold me on my next point, I would probably just cut bait on Ritchie at this point and keep Clifford, when you've got 0 goals on the season and don't bring your fists/size (no notable hit) into a game like this, sorry but that won't endear you to the boys.

I was hoping Matthews would get into it a bit more.

I know we just went 0-1-1 in the last 2 games but we played hard, fought back from a deficit and I won't bad mouth bad effort ever. We're not stupid, if they went out tonight with a whimper, I would have zero problems ripping them but the last 2 games were actually what I needed to see. They care a lot more than they did before.

Someone just needs to run Helley and Dubois next meeting.

Yeah I didn't realize it was Pionk till I saw the highlights. Good on Spezza. But of course it was Spezza. It's always Spezza that does the things that need to be done.

I hope the team can re-group and get back to the winning ways. These last 2 games have been very inconsistent but I don’t think they were completely horrible. If this is as bad as it gets, then things are looking good.
