This is not a serious team. I know this will trigger people but Nylander should be on the trade block. They won't be able to afford to re-sign him and he's the only top player they have even a semblance of control over. Even if you think they can make a run in the playoffs, he isn't the difference anyway. Either trade him for a good defenseman, a good goalie or prospects/picks. I really like Nylander, this isn't some hate post. They have to cut their losses with this core at some point.
It’s tricky, but if they can get a good young top D man they‘d have to do it, but they don’t become available via trade very often.

They seemed serious when they trounced Pittsburgh 5 days ago. Crappy games happen. This was a crappy game. Goaltending let them down.

At least Matthews finally agrees

Accountability is good, especially from the core players.

I give him and the team a pass considering the tear he's been on and the team's record the last several weeks.

Hopefully they'll learn from this.

The record was a bit of smoke and mirrors, though. With several shootout wins. Better than losing, sure, but they weren't playing like a top team.

I don't mind if they get beat down once in a while. Usually after a beat down, they're good for about a month or so until they forget about the beat down.

Hard to say if they would have had a flattering result tonight with competent starting goaltending. I can't blame this entire night on Sammy, but he certainly was the main catalyst.

Keefe is a meek and sheepish coach that is incapable of motivating players. This core needs Torts. Pampering won’t cut it.
They should be bag skated tomorrow at 6am

Robertson isn't NHL material. he isn't producing and he is too small to play in the bottom 6. he can't ain't producing and is not cut out to be a grinder. our cap constraint is also kicking our ass
The cap has been kicking our ass since the Dubas gave 50% of it to 4 similar soft not serious players
