I used we because Leafs fans get clumped together. I am not overreacting but the majority definitely is.

They're frustrated. At the end of the day, this is a fanbase that hasn't had much to celebrate in a long time. Don't be so hard on them. The amount of emotion (positive or negative) displayed in a show of passion differs from person to person, and variables like "how long it's been since your team has accomplished anything meaningful" will absolutely affect this. Those same fans you're talking about could be the ones who cheer loudest when the team scores.

Not me, though. I loved Krusty the Clown.

I was so surprised at the lineup decision to start the game. What a terrible coaching display last night as well. Should have also called a timeout right after the second goal as the start just wasn't right.

What was the point of home ice advantage if you are going to let the other team dictate your match up

I can't phatom the idea that Keefe is afraid of Cirelli that he takes out the 60 goal scorer

Listen I was at game and there were 40 of us who all played in O or above and we all met a beer after game .. every single guy bar none said team was completely outskated all over ice on both 1st and 2nd lines .. it was a men against boys game my friend .. like taking candy from a baby .. no speed and even less compete .. Matty Mitch JT Rielly are flat out WAY WAY WAY TOO SLOW for playoff hockey .. they just don't have another gear

The other replay was probably angular. It's just simply impossible for it to be against the post and be fully in. For instance, if the camera were directly above at the very least an edge of the puck would be on the line.

I agree about point two 100%. That is totally on Dubas and Keefe and the culture of the team.

Yes I agree about Matthews being a no show. The mess we are in, you need to think about moving on and rebuilding which means trading before NTCs.

One of those teams won the stanley cup less than 365 days ago and their captain has been out the entire season. The other team is just happy to be in the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.

The Leafs are not like those two teams.

Remember, after the game 1 MTL debacle 2 years ago Keefe inserted Sandin for game 2 and we won the next 3. Hopefully Lilly can have the same effect

None of those other teams have a reputation of choking in the first round and failing to overcome adversity.

I know it's easy to say "it's a long series" but statistically only 30% of teams go on to win the series after losing the first game. And that number is assuredly worse if the loss was on home ice and was a blowout.

I’ve been the biggest Leaf/Dubas basher for years. I really think this team is different with the recent additions.

I still think they win this series, and if Hedman is out, it should be that much easier.

But….it’s the Leafs…soooo

I see what you're saying about AM, MM, and JT. It is very concerning. They may very well not have that extra gear and we are f***ed. Still waiting for one special playoff run or a playoff series from those guys, so far nada.

Stat guys are assisting the past 3 Stanley Cup winners... playing in the O in the 70s doesn't make you any more qualified than the average viewer.
