Your opinion isn't proof of anything.
If you reacted differently than someone else it doesn't mean they are 'overreacting', they are just reacting differently.

You aren't the judge of what the proper level of reaction should be.
For a team that has had zero playoff success, if this is how they approach things, then they won’t be in them very long. People react to what they see over and over.

Listen I was at game and there were 40 of us who all played in O or above and we all met a beer after game .. every single guy bar none said team was completely outskated all over ice on both 1st and 2nd lines .. it was a men against boys game my friend .. like taking candy from a baby .. no speed and even less compete .. Matty Mitch JT Rielly are flat out WAY WAY WAY TOO SLOW for playoff hockey .. they just don't have another gear
The notion that you had a better view than a television is laughable.
Even looking at xg% that were score and flurry adjusted 5x5, Marner and Matthews look ok. The problem is that you can't discern the differences between even strength and the significant short handed time with perfect memory given the adrenaline boost.
Your eyes and your recollection fail you.
Everything from shots on goal to expected goals does not support what you are saying. There isn't a hint in any number that would even suggest what you describe as true.
3 goals were scored by Tampa 5x5 and none of them were against that line.

That helps but they don’t even have a number 1 D man right now. Rielly is done.
We never have.

The best D-man on the team has been Brodie since he got here and it's debatable whether he's really a #1.

Rielly has never been a #1 D-man. He's a rich man's Tyson Barrie. We pay him and play him like a #1, and hope to god he makes good on that, but he's not.

Your all doing the same thing keefe is doing by loading up two lines and a useless third line

Janrok matthews nylander
Bunting jvr marner
Knies ror kerfoot/lafferty
The rest

Ror can help knies defensively lafferty/kerfoot have speed

We need three lines
Lafferty kerfoot janrok zar kampf aciari none of these guys can drive their own line. They are all complimentary players and need that guy to drive the line
I know it's a typo or maybe a Freudian slip, but I wouldn't mind JVR instead of JT.

Did we get crushed last night? Yes
Is it concerning? Yes
Is it insurmountable? No

I wonder what the mood was on the Capitals board in 2018 when they dropped the first 2 games of the series to Columbus, at home.

Then, game 3 went to 2 overtimes for Washington scored. The capitals went form being one shot away from being down 3-0 in the opening series to Columbus, to winning the cup.

The playoffs are crazy and a lot can happen.

The biggest issue imo is when we got RoR we didn't get a speedy or scoring LW guy

Would be nice to have quality at C and LW with knies, jarnkrok and a third guy

I wish it doesn't come to that here. Way too close.

Kerfoot with this two seems reactionary.
I have heard enough evidence this morning to lineup with what I saw last night that I am tired of Keefe.

I honestly believe Dubas brought in the right pieces and Keefe is going to blow it.

I do not believe it is on Keefe to get them ready because at this point if the core can't be up for a game on their own then they never will be.

But his decisions are borderline ridiculous. Step the f!@$ up and sit Holl 70 seconds in when he doesn't smash Perry.

Did watching last game not show you anything?Yet again Rielly is our best defencemen when the chips are down

Brodie was as advertised first year, but on a steadily decline since. Brodie is a solid #3, but he isn’t the best on our team.

That 4th goal is all on him going for a low iq play, and he gets beat by point leading to 4-2. These type of plays he goes for too much in the playoffs. He needs to be much better than he was last night

I doubt Colorado fans or NJ fans are overreacting like we are
So tired of this bullshit cop out answer. No other team has lost 6 first round matchups in a row, with the same core group of players. No other team hasn't won a playoff series since 2004, Seattle not included given this is only their second year in the league and they've already made playoffs.

Colorado just won a f***ing Stanley Cup, while this is NJ's first playoff appearance with their new young core (only Hischier, Severson, Wood and Bratt are still around from 2018) against an experienced team in the Rangers. I've also seen morons saying how Tampa lost 5-0 in game 1 last year as some sort of copium - again Tampa has shown they can win and have multiple deep runs over the last decade and 4 Finals appearances.

The Leafs have absolutely no excuse. This was the first time in 30 years they gave up 7 goals on home ice. After all the pressure and knowing what this year means, having your worst home ice playoff performance with this group and in 30 years to start the series is absolutely pathetic.
