LMAO look what just popped up on my news update

Good Stuff Bettman LOL; more game management dumbass

P.S. I gotta say though that I haven't spent money on the Leafs since Habs series b/c I was really pissed with the management group and with inflation and increased cost of living even if I wanted to I dont think I can afford to spend now.

Number one factor at play is probably the NHL product. Stale rosters, no splashy trades to revitalize the league. Capped to death repaying owners.

(How did a house league tournament in Edmonton and Torornto 3 years ago require multiple years to pay off? Did someone do the math on that cost?)

I wonder if this means Canadian teams are gonna get completely screwed this year to appease the US market

LMAO

Leafs are the only team I think league wide who doesn't have a quality point shot on the powerplay; 3 players with 11 AAV; rolling chairs with our goalies, and secondary pieces.

Leafs are like a Ferrari driven by rookie
a "1 dman" paid $7 mill with a shot as hard as a feather and defensive skills of a pylon. Yep, definitely worth $7 mill.

We truly need the nose. Hard.

Simmonds and bunting was warriors tonight. Expected a bit more from Nylund and tavvy tonight. Samsonov cant win em all neither

I take back what I said about Simmonds
At least he's willing to try and had some pride

Good for anyone who has confidence in our goal tending. Because I don't

Cliff Fletcher where are you ?
We need a multi player complete culture change type of trade .
4 players out
4 players in
Do it !
Legit this isn't a joke.

Watching the Bruins bottom 6 forwards vs the leafs bottom 6 tonight...Holy shit man leafs aren't even close to competing.

The deadline usually isn't the time for a competing team to make a huge change but if its not done, this team goes nowhere come playoff time.

We need all kinds of players sometimes. Simmonds is the talker and sometimes bone crusher. He doesnt need to play but 3 minutes in a game and still crush the candy. I dont want him playing more than 6 min myself. We have other players who do that. But management is correct to dress him at times. We night need him to roar at kucherov and other fools in the playoffs too. Crushing bones and talking.

I've been saying Marner needs space to produce and told I'm wrong. These are his stats; notice that 5 vs 5 he has only 1 even strength goal in his last 26 games.

Marner last 5 games.
2 goals, 4 points
Even strength points - 0
Powerplay- 1 goals 2 assist 3 points
3vs 3 - 1 goal

0 even strength goals in his last 15 games
1 even strength goal in his last 26 games.

These are the stats of an 11 million dollar player, always playing with another 11 million dollar player.

Before someone says we get it, you hate Marner. Let me clarify, I don't hate Marner, I hate his contract a lot.

Jesus, calm down the sky isn't falling

Boston is a bloody good team who are going to take some beating but we're without one of the 5 best players in the league and Samsonov who's been very good this year had a horror show of a period tonight

We would need to be at our very best to beat them in the playoffs and Samsonov/Murray would have to perform but we already knew that coming into tonight's game

As someone who has gone to all 3 Leafs v Bruins games this season so far, I feel like I'm obliged to offer perspective that seems to be seriously lacking here right now.

The Leafs aren't close. There's no easy way to say it. The buds have been committed to building a long-term, sustainable project here, yet twice in recent weeks they've gone up against a division leading rival & have been completely incapable of competing at even strength.

I attended the last 2 games (1 in Boston, 1 in Toronto tonight), and on both occasions I've found myself begging the referees to throw the Leafs on the powerplay - that's the only way this team can compete. At 5v5, they just aren't a match against the top teams in the league including the division leaders.

I know there's many of you who are, at this point, holding out on blind faith that this team will somehow flick a magic switch come playoff time. I'm here to tell you that it simply won't happen. This group just isn't good enough. Watching them in person regularly in person, as I've been privileged to do this season, makes it crystal clear that they are miles away from where they should be, this many years into this project.

Nylander couldn't get the puck on net, yet the Bruins secondary players could manage some perfect shots.
Gio and Kerfoot were the only Leafs with more shots, and Willy made some good passes that were flubbed.

He and Gio were the best Leafs, which wasn't hard.

Was working, didn't get a chance to see the game, but I gather we're back to the regular season being important again. I guess I'll just wait for the next win for things to go back to normal.

They got beaten by a world class team.

The Leafs are propped up by four huge contracts and on average goaltending.

That's been their recipe for the last 5-6 years.

If you stay status quo, expect status quo results.

I'm glad I was not hyped up for this season. It's the first time in 25 years I haven't watched every Leafs game start to finish.

They will NOT get past the first round, they don't have the D, goaltending or secondary scoring to overcome a team like Boston or Tampa Bay. It's. Not. Happening. PERIOD.

Hope it eats at these f***ing losers
When a project fails, don't blame those on the project that tried to make it work.

Blame those that constructed the project in the first place.

None of this is on the roster, but those who constructed the roster. I'm a huge fan of Dubas, but I've run out of runway - they've had their asses handed to them twice against Boston in 2 weeks, and in both games the score flattered their actual performance.

They might get a couple of cool souljas for us for the playoffs. Like henrique and dirt. Maybe even a gudas or schenn. Imagine how much dirt our game would got from these fools. Glendeling type of a dork would also serve us right sire. A freakin baboon head. We have to get some more stupid ones in. Like a Rinaldo type also. If he even plays anymore. But yeah, some of that goofy Adam lowry type of shit. You know what I'm saying. Noel acciari dirt on those.

Probably the worst execution by our 6 D all season. Every one of them were atrocious.

After a great start of the game by Sammy, things got away from him in the second half of the game.

In a game where we needed him to be his best, Marner was terrible despite scoring a goal.

That was a winnable game if the team played tight and made the B's work for it.

Thought they worked hard, but were ineffective for the most part.
You really think that was a winnable game .
Bostons bottom 6 is the best in the league.
If not for Sammy it would have been 3 - 0 Boston.
We were leaving there players open for clear looks.
I never thought we would have beat them in the first place.
Even with mathews we won't beat them.
