Ullmark was considered a stud goalie? No……. Much of the difference tonight is once again Boston went out and got a stud goalie and Dubas got us these 2 out of the scrap heap

If Dubas hasn't realized that well, well, well before tonight's game, I can't imagine tonight made one bit of difference.Terrible game by Samsonov, Liljegren, and especially Sandin. Tavares disinterested most of the game. The fourth line with Simmonds on it offers very little. Yeah, he won a fight, big deal. Didn't ignite squat. We need players who can play a complete game, not a goon. The entire team looked fatigued, with little energy or purpose.
Trying to find a positive...Nylander was ok, Marner average. Everything else was meh. We were missing Matthews, but I didn't like the overall vibe from the team. We could have had a more positive result despite the play if Samsonov makes that save on the 4 on 4.
Not all is lost. This has to show Dubas that we need a top 4d, to push Sandin out. A top 6 winger. And perhaps two more bottom 6 with some edge, size, and speed. Tough task but the optics of this game were not good.
Remember a couple of trade deadlines ago when Boston picked up Hall and we picked up Foligno?
I'm seeing more and more comments on here about another finisher or top six winger.
Another example of the missmanagement.
He is among the best this year if not the best in the leagueUllmark was considered a stud goalie?
Benn will play in the playoffs if he’s healthy.Exactly right, pathetic. No one from bostons core would play like that against a rival.
Our D were trash tonight….how can anyone think they will last 4 rounds? I hate bashing sandin because the kids good but he will get focused on in the playoffs and they will just dump it into his corner and cycle on him. He holds the puck to long. Holl has to many give aways and brain farts under pressure, playoffs will highlight that as it always does. Holl can’t be in our top 4. Timmins is decent but I wouldn’t say I’m confident with him in our top 4 in the playoffs.
Rielly brodie lilly are solid.
Just my opinion but that’s only 3/4 top 4 D I have faith in and none are bangers. The rest are 5/6 in this years playoffs and none are bangers or are really that competitive.
Well to be fair to the Leafs, they were missing their best core player. I'd take Pastrnak, Bergeron, Marchand, and McAvoy over Marner/Tavares/Nylander/Rielly extremely easily, but at least with Matthews it becomes a debateBy now, the Leafs core should be much better than Boston’s.
Ullmark had an easy night.
No Leafs in his face, no one crashed the net and they allowed themselves to be cleared out of the way by the Bruin D.
Ullmark is the obvious leader for the Vezina at this point so the game plan should have been to cause some sh!t in front of the net and try to score some greasy goals.
That worries me. I'd rather he be a 7th or 8th option come playoff time.Benn will play in the playoffs if he’s healthy.
And NONE are on GREEDY contracts!!!

It's the hockey game going on INSIDE the perimeter. What is this "Greasy Goals" you talk about? I don't know what they mean. I have forgotten the definition of greasy goals in the last 4 to 5 years

This mess running the Leafs has been stagnant for a few years now. Changes should have been made after last year yet Keefe talks nonsense about respect in the handshake line and Shanny is MIA once againBoston just went through a rebuild/retool and they're already better than us again.
Chara, Lucic, Hamilton, Krug, McQuaid, Backes and Tukka Rask all gone.
Fired coach who took them to game 7 of the finals four years ago when they lost in the first round last year.
Some organizations know how to challenge for the cup, some apparently don't.
I like him as our 7D in the playoffs but if he’s starting then it’s not a good sign imo lol.Benn will play in the playoffs if he’s healthy.
It's the hockey game going on INSIDE the perimeter.
january: "this loss doesn't matter, it's just the regular season"
april: "there's always next season"
June……hey here’s an idea let’s just run it back again and maybe we will have a different resultApril: "We are close"
May: "there is always next season"

This is actually legit, all great options and style fits more to our needs!I mentioned the last part in my thread.
Upgrade Sandin with McCabe or Gavrikov
Add Meier or Buchnevich
Accari?
All are achievable
What I take is we are close but needed reinforcements
Oh are the leafs allowed to play there? I thought that was only allowed for other teams not the Leafs![]()
This has been the Leafs' story dating back for over a decadeSamsonov was awesome in the first, lost it afterwards.
3 goals he should have had.
As much as we all want that to happen. That will never happen. All I'm saying is it's actually Gary Bettman who has created this nonsense system. Sure, introduce a hard cap and a 50/50 profit split. But cap your ticket prices too while you're at it.
