How do these spineless f***s go into the post game and give the same cliche stupid shpeel

I'd be disgusted in myself and the team and not even want to talk to the media. This team is f***ing shameful. An absolute disgrace

"Yea I think we had a couple good looks"
STFU, no you didn't. Nothing was good
Did marner seriously use the "looks" line?

who makes this s*&t up? seriously if the 3 post the Bs hit in the 1st went in, would you still believe some BS chart?

And if the posts we hit went in - it would have changed things too. Matthews had an empty net and hit the post when Swayman ran out of the net and got beat.

Maybe it’s time for fans to stop getting high blood pressure over media comments?

If you look to pressers to make you feel better about a team you cheer for instead of being able to separate your emotions, it’s not good. It’s just a press conference, it shouldn’t affect you to that level

I think fans like you are the embarrassing ones, you seem more mad at a title than an absolutely horrendous effort from our core.
Nah, be mad at the team for what they are. Be mad at the idiots who post nonsense. Not tough to grasp

Nylander dogged it the last month so he wouldn’t get hurt for the playoffs and….

I think he got hurt when he got rocked but concealed it. He wanted to hit 100. Then something happened because he didn't heal proper.

My suspicion

They came out decently well, made a few bonehead plays that ended up in the back of their net, and then wilted. Add in pathetic special teams, missed scoring opportunities, plus some pro-Boston officiating, and that's your typical Leafs playoff game right there.
Yeah, it's almost like comfort food now!

We won the Corsi though.

Dubas would be so proud.

It's a good way to see a players give a shit meter though

ANd Marner is great at saying stupid shit in pressers.

Matthews is the one untouchable guy but holy f* he does f* all in the playoffs as well... for a guy that big the dude is soft as a fluffball. Absolutely f*ing useless when it matters.. always been this way, always will be.. he'll be a Leaf for a long time to come and he'll also be useless as sh* in the playoffs for a long time to come. Dude gets slammed and pushed around during scrums and never ever ever fights back... just takes all the abuse like a scared little kitten. You will never see him push someone back or get in their face.. he just smiles in embarassment like he doesn't know what to do and just keeps on taking the abuse. I can't believe it.

This team is toast lol. They are all p***ywillows.. almost all of them. A couple guys grind it out so keep them but the rest of these flowers are finished.

The goaltending is trash. A bunch of weak goals again tonight. Exactly as predicted lol. Just totally, totally useless.

This is such a f*ing mess, there's no recovering from this lol. How the f* this fake team reached almost 100 points in the regular season is bewildering

Only good thing is that this is the last time we are going to see this iteration of the Leafs. They are 100% going to be a different roster next year, including the coach, so kiss all these butterflies goodbye.

What the f* took so long... I mean why after all these years are we STILL looking at this sad excuse for a hockey club.. why wasn't this fake roster gutted years ago? Why did they hang on to this garbage all these years?

He looked like a scared boy in that scrum tonight. Somebody grabbed him and he instantly let go of the guy he was holding and eyes went straight to the ground like a beat dog. You don't win Stanley Cups with players like that.

Don't want to see the grit experiment again. Stars do what they usually do and losing to a team that values other things besides intangibles that only 1950's hockey analysts value.
Grit is fine if the skill comes along with it.
