leafs took momemtum in 1st swayman saved goal, awful play by reaves and samsonov inable to make the same thing than Swayman and bostom came alive .

2nd period, leafs was all over the ice, Samsonov had one save to make and it was a save he just can't let go in... but he failed he gave back momemtum to boston. + he allowed 2 additionnal goal ( where he didn't looked goodat all). should be waived after 3rd goal.

hockey is a game of momemtum. When you're making mistake or your goalie cost you momemtum swing. It will always be hard to win. At least the leafs never forfeit and worked until the end, 3 years ago they would probably forfeit in rhe same situation so we can see maturity growing up.

This samsonov was looking at the samsonov who had been waived this season and if its still the case, leafs had no choice to continu with Woll. Its just impossible to win and play with confidence with goalie playong that way

The back breaker was Matthews and Domi with dumb penalties

and the Bruins power play "has been struggling", but not against our terrible PK.

at least Matthews got on the Game Sheet.

Trev will have shannys job next year , hire a new Gm , who will hire a new coach
A lot of Tre warts tonight. We've been blown out in openers before and it'll happen again, but a bad fourth line and a rough PK has his finger prints all over it

lots of hot takes based on score and not run of play . . . I actually thought Leafs played pretty well, and got zero good karma for their efforts tonight. While obviously Boston got some sweet breaks.

Could we have played better? sure.
Did we deserve to lose? probably not actually, as susprising as that sounds

It's a gutless title from gutless fans. I'm down on the team too but holy f*** are some of you embarassing
I think fans like you are the embarrassing ones, you seem more mad at a title than an absolutely horrendous effort from our core. This core has earned being called the Laffs, you can pretend that's not the case cuz it's "mean" but they are what they are, a decade of failure.

If we can give any of these guys raises to maintain our core, we have to do anything possible to preserve them. Cost of doing business. It's keefe's fault. The players need money or you can't expect them to be good in the season AND the playoffs
Tru dat.

The problem is the other team will always get breaks with Samsonov in net

First shot - they score. Like the 5th time in the last 10 games the first shot goes in?

Samsonov' last 3 games

Tonight: .826
Against Detroit: .844
Against NJ: .700

Never said everyone, you keep the greatest goal scorer of this generation.

Yeah, I meant "everyone" as in management, coaching etc. Should have clarified.
Obviously Matthews isn't going anywhere, or anyone else with a NMC. Until the NMC/contract expires that is.

They had three scoring chances. Legit scoring chances, not the artificial crap.

Don't want to see the grit experiment again. Stars do what they usually do and losing to a team that values other things besides intangibles that only 1950's hockey analysts value.
Do what?

Miss empty nets and get scored on right after or take a penalty and get scored on like matthews

Or was it the “engine” who didnt start the entire game and looked more invisible than the guy sitting in the pressbox

Or how about the captain who’s stick killed every play and lost every faceoff

Or was it the goalie who let in everything

The stars completely no showed yet again
