And the Leafs haven't won a playoff round in 20 years.Boston hasn't won in 13 years.
My take....... Bruins are beatable. Didn't play well, weak goals against and still in the game.
Side point - Imagine this game without Simmonds. Leafs are run out of the building within 10 minutes.
yup Tampa starting to come on strong third in the Atlantic once again
it appears you have a different definition of "won" than what I'm aware of.Boston hasn't won in 13 years.
The same song and dance every single f****** year. Every single time a big moment comes, you know that this team is just going to let you down. It's just the cold, cruel facts of life.
And the Leafs haven't won a playoff round in 20 years.
It's not just a problem with Rielly, he's being deployed as a legit #1 dman who can dominate both ends of the ice and he's not a player who can handle that. Leafs were outshot 15-4 at 5v5 with him and he still got played the most of any skater. That's just as much on KeefeRielly needs to get his head screwed on right and probably take some extra time with his injury. He's a liability out there and makes his partners worse.
Murray was shaky after the first period and let in a couple of softies that won't cut it in a real playoff game.
Didn't like how Boston could turn on the punching and shoving to try and generate momentum. This is a design feature with Dubas rosters but we are never on the right side of the extra curriculars.
Why?
Given the talent we supposedly have, it's Tampa that should be complaining about playing the Leafs
We have 3 of the 5 highest players in the league
It's us that should be the Alpha team. The standings have nothing to do with it
We lost to Montreal and Columbus. Standings mean nothing to this team
We need some good depth. Simmonds cannot be in this team. Like ever. He brings nothing. That fight against Foligno could have been fought by anybody
Hunt. Nothing there
Steeves and McMann. and get a scoring winger
I just feel a playoff match up shouldn’t be known at this point in the season. Nothing to do with the opponent or having to go through these teams to win but we as fans already knowing the match up in January is stupid. If it was 1 through 8 and highest seed plays the lowest seed it would go up to the last week or two of the season to decide the opponent and that in my opinion is much more exciting as a fanThe playoff format doesn’t bother me. If you are going to win you have to go through this teams anyway.
it appears you have a different definition of "won" than what I'm aware of.
that's cool.
I'm sure you use the same dictionary as Dubas.
If he can put up Engvall numbers while being a menace on the forecheck and throwing the body, that's a massive addition for us.
And after the first round is over. It'll be ours again too. Perhaps one day you'll get sick and tired of seeing this team lose in big moments as well.Season series 1-1
This thread is all yours, Doomers. Go wild.
Boston hasn't won in 12 years.
Boston hasn't won in 12 years.
Maaaaaaaaan it’s those tight moments where the focus slips.
moneypuck has it at 52/48 in favor of the leafs.
surprisingly more even than it seemed. felt like boston dominated.
Murray needed to be better but that was a horrible turnover
3 bad goals. Sure it's just one game. Game 7 is just one game.
Anyways. We hung in there toe to toe. Had we recieved better goaltending, we could have easily one
We dominated the 3rd period
Boston is a very beatable team
They have gone to the finals twice since?
Lily should be there, he would make Reilly look better imhoImagine if the Leafs weren’t brain dead with their passes tonight.
Rielly-Timmins should never, under any circumstances, be a pairing again.
Murray gifted some soft goals. And team wasn’t better either.
But what’s up with Boston players celebrating this like they haven’t won a game in ages? This obviously meant a lot more to Boston this was a big game for them and it was def marked on their calendars.
For Toronto? Not so much.
