Barring a colossal collapse the leafs are playing the bruins or lightning in the first round and then the other in the next. Learn from the regular season games so they can be prepared to hopefully beat them in the playoffs.
They havnt learned a dam thing in the last 6 years of first round failur. What have you seen so far this year that makes you think it will be any different

Reilly was brutal tonight. he was probably calling for the puck from Timmins on that bad pass across lol.

Holl let Krejci get to the front of the net and be involved.
Holl can't be in the top 6 going into the playoffs.

Murray gifted some soft goals. And team wasn’t better either.

But what’s up with Boston players celebrating this like they haven’t won a game in ages? This obviously meant a lot more to Boston this was a big game for them and it was def marked on their calendars.

For Toronto? Not so much.
Because winning is important to the Bruins

We got outplayed 2 out of 3 periods and showed up in the 3rd.

Lost to a very good Bruins team trying to pull themselves out of a funk, in Boston.

Tough to lose and seeing the Bruins capitalize on every miscue we made but they didn’t roll over us.

I know many are going to point at Timmins, but I’m going with Keefe sitting him was a mistake. The kid was in a rhythm, playing well and gaining confidence. You sit him out, he now starts trying to do too much to stay in, and you get these mistakes. Keep him in the lineup and let him build on what he’s been doing, and don’t mess with his head to play Benn.

Hate losing to the Bruins but we didn’t give them anything to think we’re an easy out for them if we meet in the playoffs.

On to the next one.

Rielly needs to get his head screwed on right and probably take some extra time with his injury. He's a liability out there and makes his partners worse.

Murray was shaky after the first period and let in a couple of softies that won't cut it in a real playoff game.

Didn't like how Boston could turn on the punching and shoving to try and generate momentum. This is a design feature with Dubas rosters but we are never on the right side of the extra curriculars.

They got what they deserved. Not sure how else to describe that game, or the team in general really.

JT with such a bad turnover it's inexplicable. What a stupid play late in the game

Murray was not very good, especially considering we heavily limited Boston shots from the 2nd period and on

Rielly - Timmins is the worst defensive pair I've ever seen

Bright side is Sandin - Liljergen looked awesome, they're ready for prime time

watching tavares "trying to keep up" with fast skating bruins was painful to watch for the entire game

So now we already know the Leafs will play Tampa in round 1 with about 40 games remaining. This is a perfect example of why they should go back to the playoff match ups 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5. It’s ridiculous that two teams already know their opponents in January

At what point do they get concerned about Rielly's play?
He was the most played dman at 5v5 tonight, so probably never. It would be a lot better for everyone if they could deploy him like the PP specialist he is and shelter the hell out of him

I have come to believe one of two things will happen

either Leafs win the cup or Dubas gets fired.

Both outcomes are good with me.
I’m thinking the latter is really really likely…well he wouldn’t be fired, his contract ends this season, he just won’t be renewed. But guess what, it won’t matter as MLSE will screw it up again

Nah they lose another close 7 game series with Tampa and they have to run it back with the same team and management.

and really, that is the problem.

Boston knows what it takes to win.

For Toronto. Not so much.
