Yeah, after the Leafs tied the game in the 3rd, they had several glorious chances to take the lead, but just couldn't bury another one.
No kidding......people here all freaked out over them playing in a 90% empty rink rather than a 100% empty one.If 2500 fans rattle this team, it's time for a rebuild.
Highly doubtful. CBJ pulled a fast one on the Leafs. He's been injured the entire time pretty much.
You're not wrong, but you want a team who closes things out and takes advantage of situations. Were the exact opposite with this core.
It's not time to panic tonight. If they piss this away though....oh man.
I think the leafs have to evaluate whether they can win with a core that hates to play physical or against physical players

Ya better to give him look now, and not like game 7 ... unfortunate but he’s young and got plenty of good hockey in him, Ton of potential just seems to need some work in his own end/dealing with pressureSandin is done for the playoffs with the crap performance he put up tonight unless there's injuries.
To be honest, and I'm not saying Matthews is hurt because I don't believe he is, but using Keefe's decisions is probably not a good indicator of anything. He refuses to reward Nylander and refuses to put 3 forwards on the 4th line/PP and brings Sandin back for whatever reason. All this talk about AM being hurt doesn't add up. If he is hurt would Keefe play him so much?
Make Wille's line #1 and the AM line #2. Simple fix.
I'm torn a bit on that. Matthews has stopped getting looks, but Marner's have increased. As much as he isn't a scorer, he's still due and putting enough good looks together. The line itself is also producing and generating chances. My biggest concern and why I’m still leaning towards a Habs comeback is that despite the Leafs’ play as a team, Matthews and Marner aren’t stepping up and producing like they should. Highly doubtful they can close this series out if they continue to be shut down.
Yeah I think that's the case as well. Seems a tad shady.Highly doubtful. CBJ pulled a fast one on the Leafs. He's been injured the entire time pretty much.

agreed. this is pissing me off so much. i like foligno and what he brings to the leafs but i can't believe we paid a 1st for a player whose nursing an injury throughout the season. we got swindled.
Foligno is a hurting unit. To see him wince on the bench at the pregame warmup before he was scratched looked just like when he held up at the net and was out to begin with. He is damaged goods, and I truly think it is his back, not good at all.
