He was like a .917 before this game, and take away that boneheaded overtime finish he would have been nicely above .900 tonight too.

I think if the team is getting goaltending like that, it should be plenty.

There is no space for a .925 or .930 hall of famer in net

The point is good, but I think this one is a missed opportunity. Boston has been playing poorly, and they started the guy that is effectively their back up (despite being the reigning Vezina winner, which sounds crazy). Now because of the ridiculous schedule they sit for 5 days, but they need to undress Ottawa next game. Don't give them a chance to get off the mat.

thats not how sports work, for example if he stopped one of those shots we wouldn't have pulled the goalie in a 2-2 game and scored with 5 seconds left in the game. therefore likely still would have went to OT anyways.

The league average this year is a .902%

The league scoring is absurdly high now. His SV% is 10th in the league for goalies with at least 10 starts this year

He is giving us 2017-2019 Frederik Andersen level goaltending which is more than enough

Leafs usually own 5 on 5 OT in the playoffs and only lose off some random play after missing their chances.

As ugly as the 1st quarter has been, we are also the hardest team to finish off in regulation right now when you factor in our come back wins. Take this trend to playoffs and teams need to beat us in OT to get a win

We are a few tinkerings away at having a team that can just "get it done" by putting the W on the board.
