Honest to god, this place is a clown show! You want to know what an echo chamber reads like, well folks, here it is. It's like 3/4 of you are trying to outdo each other with your negative takes.

*Matthews is a shell of...
*Marner couldn't for the life of him...
*Keefe is the worst...
*Holl, Brodie, Rielly...
*Jarnkrok, Bunting, and what to do about that kid Robertson...
*Our goalies are the worst...
*Where's the passion, fire, intensity...

*and don't forget Dumbass!

It's as if people revel in the negative crap they're spewing and get excited like a teenage watching porn...ohhh ya baby, I can dig that...f*** me, what a clown show this place has become.

To all of you experts who said the season doesn't matter, it's only the playoffs that count (and you know who you are) I truly hope you're enjoying yourselves with your incessant bitching. Enjoy your circle jerk.

Oh, and for the record:
*I'd like to see Willy with Matthews and Mitch with JT.
*Unlike some, I thought Robertson's game was pretty solid, and he knocked down Carter!
*For those who bemoan Mo on the PP, ummm, nice pass to Willy, and a slap shot too, woohoo!
*I can't remember who suggested, but I liked his idea of Rielly/Liljegren, Sandin/Brodie, Gio/Holl.
*I think Gio's attempted block deflected the puck just a bit allowing it to slip between Kallgren's body and arm.
*JT is playing solid, professional hockey.
*It was @Jimmy Firecracker, and I agree with your full line-up suggestion.

I've had my say and I think many will be calling me out for being an apologist. Have at it. You're wrong, but wtf, when you go into attack mode, just recognize that I see flaws, but I've also seen good things as well. It's called balance. Try it, you might actually smile once and awhile.

I feel like this team has been historically crap on Hall of Fame Night.

Nov 11th just a has morose atmosphere to it; it is what it is. The building makes a library look like a heavy metal concert. We have another ceremony to endure tomorrow and I'm just afraid that this same atmosphere (or lack thereof) has an encore performance

so far..... I am so scared dubas is gonna screw the leafs before he gets canned
See the irony there is that if Dubas gets canned that pretty much means he’s already screwed up potentially the most talented core group of players we’ve ever inherited. So my hope continues to be that somehow ‘magically’ this team figures it out even if all signs point to the contrary.

I think he’s in the middle where he’s not good enough yet but too good for the AHL. You need to keep giving him chances and hopefully he figures it out.
So far the jury is out for me. Everyone outside the top six are AHL players on this team. MLSE can only patch holes here. They are stuck till their older players retire.

Hoping a music aficionado can help me a bit.

3rd period about 7.5 minutes in, there's a song playing for the fans in the stadium. Anyone know which one it is?

PS tonight's game was just frustrating on so many levels...most of which have been touched upon regularly.
Hits 41 to 14 for Pitts. Happens almost every game leafs play, win or lose. Soft, soft marshmallows.

oh dubas has already screwed the pooch there is no denying that. question though is do we allow him to continue to screw the pooch?

I am afraid he is going to trade 1st rounders this season; matthews and nylander walk and leafs have nothing to show for the scorched earth.

Leafs gotta take a couple steps back and re-tool but with a new GM at the helm. Trade Marner. Get Matthews and Nylander deals going at a reasonable caphits if they are not willing to re-sign then trade them and rebuild again.

Remaining status-quo is not a good idea. This team hasn't shown much progress especially in the playoffs. No point in continuing with the same structure. You can't keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results.

Dubas it not the guy to get it done IMO; but I am afraid he may be the guy that screwed the Leafs' future even more if he is allowed to deal/trade picks/prospects

If you analyze the GWG it’s really not a complete surprise they have 7 wins and 8 losses this season.

What’s frustrating about these Losses or OT losses are that with the exception of the 1st Vegas game, Leafs really should have won if not for some really bad mistakes that should not had happened.

Also this game is another example of this core playing completely lackluster in a game with emotional circumstances.

Luke Fox was talking about Keefe having the wound pretty tightly, so I'm thinking the substitute teacher trying to be the disciplinarian is causing extra friction.

I'll take nothing over soul crushing giveaways but you're right. Matthews needs to step up and lead.

I think Marner's high volume chaos is a good example of less is more. Pick your spots when you want to do something creative. Not every time, because all those errors end up costing us at the other end. Think of every time he has a weird miscue that results in a counter rush.

And he won't stop doing it until one of his goofy plays works.

Yet we don't have a coach who's stepping in and telling him to cut the bullshit out.

We do but he got in trouble and had to apologize. Leafs stroke the egos of Marner and Matthews and that’s why they get away with everything. Dubas set the tone of how this team is.

Game really turned, IMO, on the end of period goal against.

Leafs just make poor decisions.

Should have started the 2nd. period with the lead.

Rielly - Liljegren
Brodie - Holl
Sandin - Benn

The team has way worse depth than last year. No 3rd and 4th line. And when Auston matthews isn't scoring 50 goals in 50 games this team doesn't really have much goal creation. Extremely poorly constructed team. The pengiuns played poorly too tonight and look old and slow.

I had actually had that thought, too. But I haven't heard any of the analysts mention that the shot deflected off of Gio so I think most of us are just under the assumption that it went straight in. Honestly, I think for the most part - especially the last few games - Kalli has played above his head and has given the team a chance to win. You can't score two goals in this league and realistically expect to win much.

I hated that game. That was the worst.

The last few minutes with the goalie pulled was so sloppy. The Leafs looked like an AHL team.

On with the next game. I want to forget about that one.

PS- all those "Liljegren is a number 1 Defenseman" people got humbled tonight. He was brutal.
