Idunno how it works or if it's even possible but if that's the case then put him on waivers, someone will take him. We could of used that cap space to sign someone else or two d-men.

I think Rielly cannot be waived either for the first 4/5 years of his contract.

RT should be happy about how his team played tonight… they answered the call.

No problem at all. It takes more than 6 years to find a way to beat these bottom feeding teams I guess

HOLY FACK.

Cant make this stuff up...

Probably partying too hard with the new guys in town...

How the Hell can Reilly just keep skating up the zone when hes D. Makes everyone out of sync.
We are a completely different team with all the players playing a role.

Reilly comes back and hes skating circles everywhere FFS. Makes Mitch, Willy and Matthews start thinking of just going solo.

This is on KEEFE.

I have a Leafs hat and Nylander jersey i'm gonna lock away if we are out first round again.
Matthews can be signed elsewhere... Guy has been atrocious this season

We should shut down Matthews until 1 week leading up to the playoffs. What's the point of seeing Matthews play like this?

For the playoffs, I'd like to see

Knies - Tavares - Marner
Holmberg - O'Rielly - Nylander
Lafferty - Matthews - Acciari
Bunting - Kampf - Kerfoot

Knies is apparently a 1st line player.
The regning Hart winner should play 3rd line.

Leaf fans are the dumbest collection of irrationality after a loss.

All forms of media should be blacked out for 12 hours after a Leaf loss.

Before those blowhards come out and mention "other teams also lose to bad teams" here:

here u have two professional teams, one who is leading the league now; the other who has had 3 back to back SCF appearances and 2 cup wins.

then you have the Leafs whose coach is an absolute clown and the gm wants to be buddies with players instead of doing whats right for the team

Being a "GudPro" should be the min expectation and should come from higher management.

Both keefe and dubas lucked into a job they never really deserved. This is what happens when competence/merit is not taken into account when hiring for 'qualified' positions

Just being careless, that’s the comment from tonight’s game.

But I do like and get the sense that the team is tougher and more willing to stir things up even when the game is out of reach. Which is good to see.

Hope ROR is okay bc we sure needed him.

This team kind of looks better when Rielly and/or Matthews are out. Or, used to look better, as it’s about 3/4 of the old team remaining.

He’s got a full No Movement clause until July 1st 2028 which means he can’t be put on waivers or sent down. Their only option would be to sit him out and hope he asks for a trade which I don’t see happening. That contract is a killer.

I've heard of picking your lines with a blender, but Keefe has brought this to a whole new level. He has to find out who gels with who and run with it. There's zero reasons for who he throws out there at any given time. Obviously this has to be settled before playoffs start but Keefe hasn't even started trying yet.

It's mystifying to me how a player can play with complete reckless abandon and go full send for offense every single shift, and somehow just has 1 goal on the season. You'd think someone would tell him that the reward isn't worth the risks

It’s not even that he goes full send it offensively to create tons of offense all the time either.

It’s just he’ll go on a low percentage Lone Ranger rush or just drift too far into the offensive zone to get back on time. Or if he gets back to the defensive position he just wants to play panic man on man, strip the puck off the guy instead of having any instinct to steer a guy into a lower danger area. He can’t direct traffic defensively. I don’t think he has a good understanding of it.
