I'm ok with this.... From here on in, everything is a test of this teams leadership. Dubas has done everything but change the leadership and up to this point nothing has changed.

It's comforting to know that we are nearing the end of this crap.

It’s incredible how often this team embarrass their fan base in a season my gosh
What a joke
Playoffs please, let’s see what drama we will find ourselves in this time
Losing record since the trades lol oh boy

One team gets better and can’t lose a game, we make moves to try improve and can’t win

I don't know how a team can make the kind of mistakes the Leafs did tonight and continue to make and just.. never learn from them. The constant no look passes leading to turnovers, valuing possession (inevitably leading to turnovers in danger zones) when trying to break out of their zone instead of GETTING OUT OF THE ZONE, the lazy cross ice passes, and the general lack of effort or compete does not bode well for the playoffs.

Glad they traded Engvall he was the cause or those dumb drop passes to the opposition on the PP. He caused all the turnovers at the blueline. His lack of effort and compete caused irreparable harm.

And now they're ummm, Holl's fault.

Reilly is the cancer we all thought he was. Our GA differential has tanked since this guy came back.
Just stay injured you clown. WOW

That was Jake Gardner level of play right there at the 3rd period.

Keefe better have the team chemistry as an excuse cause this is a real bad look.
it's why I wanted Dubas to get a legit #1 in Petrioangelo which would have.allowed the movement of Reilly. He simply has little defensive chops. It's stunning. Due to his salary Keefe feels he has to play him like a #1. It's true that when he was out the D Core wss much more effective,. He has plateaued, at best...

It’s not even that he goes full send it offensively to create tons of offense all the time either.

It’s just he’ll go on a low percentage Lone Ranger rush or just drift too far into the offensive zone to get back on time. Or if he gets back to the defensive position he just wants to play panic man on man, strip the puck off the guy instead of having any instinct to steer a guy into a lower danger area. He can’t direct traffic defensively. I don’t think he has a good understanding of it.

His attempt to stop the first SH goal against tonight was.. brutal. You can't commit to stopping the pass like that and then burn your goalie completely by letting it go through clean. Rielly can't even go down to block a pass in the right direction.. it was like he was diving into a waterpark slide or something..

Hol up, has Liljegren been healthied two games in a row?

Scratching your best defenseman is a choice
It's debatable how healthy he is. He did take an awkward fall against Edmonton, but returned to the game. It's possible he's banged up a bit and they're playing it extra safe

Knies is apparently a 1st line player.
The regning Hart winner should play 3rd line.

Leaf fans are the dumbest collection of irrationality after a loss.

All forms of media should be blacked out for 12 hours after a Leaf loss.

It's about balancing the lines. And the reigning Hart winner definitely isn't playing like that now. The play of Matthews on the 2 short handed goals were disappointing. At the moment, Matthews need other players on his line to carry his defensive responsibilities.

That is a whole lot of things that I didn't say, at all.

Sandin seems to have had a good night

Honestly, just chalk this up as one of those regular season games, bc it is.

Watching this live, I really don’t think Leafs was soft or didn’t work hard or mailed it in or showed no heart….
They played exactly like they did against the Flames except for about 4-5mins in the 2nd, as Nucks was storming. The difference was really those two shortys. If the Nucks didn’t score and just went an uneventful PP, Leafs could have win the game and lock it down like they did against the Flames.

Hoping that the 7D strategy isn't a long-term thing (read: playoffs) utilized to keep everyone happy. Very much hope that ROR is good to go and back in the lineup soon enough (and also that Matthews and Tavares aren't too banged up).

Only one comment: they folded pretty fast when Vancouver scored the first shorty. That's not acceptable when they still had most of a 4 minute minor to work with.
It was a 2min minor and I didn’t think they folded rather just being more careless.

Before those blowhards come out and mention "other teams also lose to bad teams" here:

What isthe most concerning

Leafs playing for 0.500 against bottom 6
Or
Tampa who just allowed 30 last 7 game against team whos still alive with 5 of those 7 game with 5+ goal allowed

2x va pittsburgh 12 goal allowed
2X buffalo 11 goal allowed
Vegas 5 goal
3 against florida in a total domination from panther
And a shoutout against detroit with cooper saying after the game than the only reason why they won it wqs Vasilevskiy...
