Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose 4-1

In my opinion, the situation may be more concerning than that. Our core team members seem to struggle with overcoming adversity and may have difficulty persevering through challenging situations.

We are just passionate fans.

I think there is always a 50% chance of winning and losing. How that is being tilted is on the players execution.

Like the old saying in Euro Football, the ball is round and can roll either ways, the game is being play on the field and not on paper.

Leafs guys just need to be more focus and alert, while also need to be more patience and more clutch when it comes to odd man rushes.

That’s one area I would really want Keefe to look at. It is not only to prevent it from happening but also to force it on the opposition and finish it instead of letting the other goalie just make a save.

It's difficult for me to feel at ease when it seems like Keefe is not acknowledging the success of putting Marner and JT together during our winning streak. Despite making in-game changes to the whole team, he has yet to consider swapping Nylander and Marner. Additionally, it appears that he is not recognizing that our performance began to decline when Rielly returned to the lineup.

Hopefully ROR, Matthews, Tavares and Liljegren are alright.

Hopefully Keefe figures out playing 11 forwards is stupid and establishes some semblance of proper lines. He's got everybody all scrambled up with these crockpot line changes, when you are supposed to be trying to build familiarity and chemistry with new players. Lots of teams added new players, are any of them pulling this 11/7 bullshit?

Hopefully Murray stays healthy and he and Samsonov push each other, and hopefully Woll is there if needed.

Hopefully they will play up against New Jersey on Tuesday, because they are a legitimate contenders in the East, and we see a good game with a good effort, win, lose or draw. It should be playoff intensity hockey from 2 contenders.

They are better than we've seen. Keefe has got to cut the crap and give these guys consistency and routine to play the way they know they can. This is below Midget level hockey indecisive coaching right now.

Assuming is bang up and needed a rest.
He needs to be back in the lineup and pair with Reilly.
McCabe and TJ is set, that’s the lock down pair.
Gio with Holl or Schenn.

Wouldn't shock me if they didn't ice the best possible lineup again, like the final 5 games of last year's playoffs. Instead of having your young talented D grow and gain playoff experience, they are scratched for low upside, "safe" veterans.

Gio might be wearing down. I saw him do a spin o rama backhanded pass, completely unforced to open space earlier and the closest guy was a Canuck. Turned into a scoring chance.

While true. To be fair in this particular game, he DID take a bad shot to the knee which I'm sure isn't great for anyone's mobility

TB have also lost a bunch of games lately. Stamkos, Point and Kucherov were benched vs the Sabres. If that happen in Toronto the sky would be falling. People are too up when they win, and too low (let's blow it up) when they lose.

For the last 7 years many fans deluded themselves into thinking that this organization is "so close". The reality is no team that consistently falters at the first hurdle every year can realistically call itself a true contender.

I guess you can call me a 'drama queen' but once again I worry about the future of this franchise after another futile year of wasting assets for veteran players that we do not need. I have seen this song and dance many times in the past. As fan, you really have to ask yourself how long you can tolerate watching history repeat itself - watching the assets your favorite team develop find success in other organizations because of short sighted thinking.

Enough of this 12 F - 7D clownshow. It ruins the rhythm for our entire team. Bring up McMann if O'Reilly is hurt and dress Z.A.R. We don't need to be playing gustafsson

We have 20 more games to get this all together
