Yup no doubt about it. Woll in net and this was a W
He ain't playing 75 though. Sammy's gotta get his touches and be good doing it, we can't just blow him up 8 games in to the season.

He runs hot and cold, this isn't news to us. At some point this season he is going to get hot and look unbeatable. Sooner the better.

Samsonov gave up an other weak goal on 1st goal but played well rest of the game. Hes not the reason why leafs lost it.

At the end, just looked like last game of a long road trip... bunch a sloppy play/ free turnover in defensive end, lack of concentration ( like both too many men penalty), pretty bad individualbdecision like matthews trying to make an individual play when everybody had been on the ice for 2min in OT.

But overall, still best leafs start since 2018-2019

So you do understand my point? Players of his ilk play for the cup. His rejection, basically was like a finger to our core players. Hence, I wish they took it as personally as I did. A guy that rejects the team the way O'Riley did should have been marked and his words should be taken like salt rubbed into wounds.
I mean understand it but I don't agree with the logic.

The Leafs are a red car. ROR pointed out that the car is indeed painted red. Instead of saying maybe we should paint the car green, you get mad at ROR for stating that the car is red?

You're completely and totally deflecting from the original conversation which was that O'Reilly didn't want to play for a core who were incapable of contending.
Sure Toronto and Nashville both aren't contenders. But there's a huge difference in playing for an organization led by Trotz, vs one which at the time of the interview was led by Dubas.

There's also a huge difference between being a leader/2nd in command in Nashville vs being forced to be behind Matthews and Tavares.

So it's not just about contender vs not. I'd imagine someone like ROR has some level of self respect and pride which would prevent him from wanting to be in Toronto with those factors considered

That's just a hot take from the lands of Internet forums and sports radio. He of course has never indicated anything of the sort. Reading between the lines of what he has actually said leads to the conclusion that he didn't like the T.O. spotlight, and choose money and a simpler market to play in.

The guy ain't chasing Cups going to the Preds over the Leafs.

Also, who the f*** cares? Don't want to be a Leaf, no problem, don't let the door hit you. Good luck to him.

Said he wanted to be closer with his brother who I’m guessing lives out that way.

Lol

One actually has the talent to contend, the other does not, lets not try to act as if both teams are on equal grounds here, that's far from the case.

Why are we pretending Mr. Drunk driving Tim Hortons himself is suddenly a man of class?

At least Ngannou had an amazing fight

Beat the breaks off Fury and got robbed by 3 UK judges anyways lol

Boxing is in the gutter after this one, for good.

Noy my claim, I was on the opposing side.

I may be wrong, but I think the team is young enough to grow. I honestly don't care what ROR said he is not a leaf anymore and I am as attached to him as the toilet paper I wiped my ass with.

As for Nashville hope it suits him well maybe he will get demoted to the farm team so he can end up playing with that brother of his.

I expect this core to utterly humiliate Nashville if they are lucky enough to meet us in the playoffs. I also feel they got outplayed today but we put in our worst goaltender and sadly he still craps his pants when he sees ROR's number.

Talent is meaningless without heart as far as the playoffs are concerned. ROR (and Schenn) showed more heart in a couple months with the Leafs than the core 4 have their entire careers.

Fair enough, I'm not going to agrue with how you feel

ROR was hotdog water against the Panthers, Schenn? Love him , but he's injury prone and washed at this point.

Glad to see him cash out, but that's reality at this point.

Hopefully Mr. Class ROR doesn't drunkingly smash into a Tims in Nashville looking for an early morning caffeine fix this year.

What does drunk driving have to do with winning a cup? You say that as if it somehow discredits my argument that ROR knows a thing or two about winning

Fury was supposed to fight Usyk in 8 weeks in the same arena, no way he could lose on points now, he needs to sell another fight, he was basically home fighter in SA.

I had Francis winning, but I'm not shocked they robbed him. What a shame, that would be the upset of all times.

Matthews and Marner kill penalties, instead of some 3rd line specialists. Kampf starts the 3v3 overtime and stays out there.

WTF am I missing here?

I think Matthews and Nylander want to win. The supporting cast from Dubas was just terrible.

I think JT is mostly out for the money but wants to win as well, but isn't really a real leader.

Marner is a too much of a suck to make it happen when the going gets tough.

It was extremely predictable, even without the Usyk fight they wouldn't have given him the nod, but with that fight? Yeah, no chance.

I felt Francis clearly won, the judge that scored it 96-93? Lol....I'm done with boxing.

That's impressive. I guess you think .875 SV%'s and shots from 30 feet out unscreened are acceptable in this league for a supposed starting goaltender.

Me? I think it's f***ing trash. I made money on this game fading the Leafs soley because that turd was in goal, and he let in a stinker to seal it.

First goal was even worse.
Sorry top opposite player right in middle of your own zone 25-30 feet of the net...

Let matthews, nylander or jt shooting from that area and the puck will goes in half of the time whatever whos in net. Its was not a weak goal, it was an extremely dangerous shot from a really dangerous area

I been really hard with Samsonov last 2 season and i really love Woll but i dont think he would made that save. This goal was 100% Matthews fault

He is one of the worst coaches in the league with some of the best players in the league. It's pretty obvious Keefe sucks and the management is completely incompetent for not figuring it out.
