Yep exactly, we got the point against Saros while we were forced to play the worst goalie that's ever played in the world..... and the most bone headed winger in the whole wide league inventing new and exclusive turnovers.

Pretty clear to me who the starting goalie is on this team

Alcobol isn't doing it, clearly I'm going to need psychedelics to match the level of you delusional Samsonov defenders.

Oh, okay, well now I'm convinced.

Do we have data on guys on breakaways vs shooting, unscreened from here?

1st when you taking picture, at least take one for the real spot of the shot

2nd from that area screen or not changing absolutly nothing, he was right in the slot and EVERY SHOT from the slot are HIGH DANGER SHOT

Which of those graphs showcase a partial breakaway as described?

It could be in the low slot, that doesn't make it a "partial breakaway" by pure definition that is objectivity incorrect, this isn't an opinion sir.

I see Samsonov ditched the Cujo mask.

The team probably told him to stop embarassing Joseph's legacy. I know Samsonov didn't let in any even strength goals. But the difference between his performance and Saros was the difference between winning and losing again tonight.

Stinkberg stinks.

Such a bad choice by Treliving to sign him. It really bothers me the team traded Sandin for Gustafsson only to let him walk. That's what you call throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Marner serving up more muffins than a Tim Horton's.

Keefe should have benched him for the rest of the period. Instead he gave Marner almost 22 minutes in ice time again. Dubas isn't here anymore.

Keefe can have his balls back.

The new look power kill is humming along at 74.1%. Good for 24th in the league. Maybe having Matthews try inflate his goals totals by playing him shorthanded wasn't such a good idea.

I wouldn't be surprised if this 4th line is the worst in the league.

saw it coming ALL game

you knew the loss was coming all game. It just had that feel. Leafs never really picked it up at any point during the 60 minutes. I remember thinking in the 2nd period, if the Leafs win this one they're going to have to steal it

especially in overtime. Did we even have possession of the puck at any point in that extra period or did Nashville control it the entire time?

Either way you could tell they were losing this one from early on, and during the entire game really. And overtime especially, you knew they were losing it as soon as a few seconds in. Just one of those games.

The question I have is could the Leafs have not challenged the OT goal for a missed stoppage?

The announcers seemed to imply Matthews last pass to himself off the boards hit Morgan Rielly, who was on the bench. I thought the puck hitting a player on the bench is considered out of play? Therefore the play should have been blown dead. Unless of course, it didn't actually hit Rielly.

If you wanna get right down to the bottom of it you can blame Matthews for inviting him into the room, it's been great for his career though, apparently the clothing line e actually makes money and pulls down about 250k for him every month. It's a nice paycheque he gets to put on the pile, I wonder if he had to piece off the Leafs for all the free advertising now and into the future
Yup

Ya I wonderd that too

Good old 3 defenders on the inside 3 attackers on the outside breakaway.
I was exaggerating just a little. He went untouched from the blueline to between the circles with decent speed and then let a rocket of a snap shot.
We should ask Klinberg or Matthews they were both standing there watching.

Hard to blame the goalie on that one.

Anyone questioning Kampf starting OT is either a hypocrite or they didn’t watch last season. That is the only positive win percentage formula we’ve found for OT to date.

Id be inclined to go back to trying Tavares as he seems more invigorated at least at this point of the season.

Marner should be woken up by Thursdays game at least. Haven’t seen any magic from him in 8 games so far.

Ya I wonderd that too
Has to happen inside the attacking zone.

Bro we have Cowan tearing it up and looking very promising to become more than a small and slow 5th defender.

It's a miracle they're 5-2-1 after a 5 game road trip. Go figure.

Sure, that's fine, I've never disputed that, Ontario f***ing sucks...but lets not be delusional and act as if he went there to compete for another cup

That isn't the case
How many Cup contenders offered him? Boston, maybe.

Liljegren leaving the game was actually a big loss.

He was having a good game and has been playing extremely well lately.
Hope he's ok, thought he may have got the wind knocked out of him when that clown threw the late hit but when he didn't come back from the locker room that sounds like trouble to me

He looks great in warm up performing his figuring skating routine and chest bumping with Revo.

The give away and errant passes have to stop during the game.

When goal scorer stops scoring we bring out our pitchforks.

When Selke nominee plays like crap defensively it does almost nothing to his reputation. He'll get his popularity Selke votes pushed by Toronto media. No amount of brainfart giveaways will change that.
