Yeah it wasn't great my big thing is why are we wasting time with that when we have so many things to work on
They always think Marner's some magic creative solution.

They were good in their own end and made a bunch of plays where they were hard on their sticks, that they don’t normally bother making. This time last year, we knew they didn’t have it defensively and this year there’s a sliver of hope.OT is such a bogus gimmick, who really cares. But this teams 5v5 is concerning
Playing well defensively and good goaltending from goalies not named Kallgren is a recipe. You don't think Oilers would like some loser points on those 9 regulation losses? It's not a mirage. They deserve that recordThe mirage of a good record. Surviving on loser points is not a winning formula
Beating the Sabres always counts for somethingThey destroyed the Sabres. If that counts at least lol.
Likely Tampa. Boston won't stop winning and we throw away points in games like tonight. Makes it really tough to catch upI've already accepted the fact Round 1 will be against bruins, devils, or tampa.
You think? He’s costing us points virtually every game he plays.getting a bit concerned about Kallgrin
except the play wasn't even a direct counter off the turn over. It was a turn over, Islanders held the puck for about half a minute, regrouped and just skated into our zone and shot off the half wall. There’s not that much defense in OT with the way they give up the puck in open ice though. It’s usually a counter rush and you’re already screwed.
It shouldn’t have got to OT. Leafs dominated, Sorokin was great, and our goalie is pure shit. I posted the Kallgren stats in the pregame thread. And yet, people said he was solid, we left him out to dry blah blah blah…bullshit. He’s a recreation level goalie, a Zamboni level goalie. Put Petruzelli in net, not this sieve.
We're talented enoughGood thing there is no 3 on 3 in the playoffs![]()
No, just playoff seeding. Though I suppose that doesn't much matter as they've lost to all manner of playoff opponents. If the Leafs were 30 wins, 52 OT losses they'd have a presidents trophy.
While they need to do a better job in OT, 3 on 3 has no bearing on playoff success so I don't know why OT losses are seen in the same light as regulation losses to anybody. If they were playing 5 on 5 in OT, then it's a much more interesting topic to discuss.
10 wins and 10 losses is not a good record, especially with 3-11 million dollar playersStill a good record
Teams have survived playing a 3rd option.I don't disagree, but it is our 3rd option and people shouldn't be expecting an NHL calibre goalie or else he wouldn't be our 3rd option.
That's not really on him. That's on the managementYou think? He’s costing us points virtually every game he plays.
Tellvqist was a respectable backup. He doesn't belong in this category
Neither does Scrivens, who carved out a decent NHL career. Not bad for a guy who was living in a basement in Toronto
Oh yeah, he also has a bronze medal from Olympics
Still a good record
I guess. I'd put Reimer and Bernier on there but that would probably catch some flak haha

THat's what I've been calling for and that look on Keefe's face told me that's the last time we'll see Nylander start 3-3.keefe is gonna come out for the press conference and say
You all told me to start with Matthews and Nylander!!! ARE YOU HAPPY?
