I am not sure about firing shanny,,as best as i can tell he has only made 1 real mistake

choosing dumbass over Lou
Loved Shanahan as a player, even though he didn’t play for the Leafs. But to me, he doesn’t seem capable of being in the position he’s in. Was a great player who played with a lot of heart, but doesn’t seem to know how to be the braintrust in building a winning team.

Our bottom 6 is just not good enough. Spezza has been a blessing but he is only here for the minimum because his hometown is the only place he is willing to play. Will be difficult to find another one or two such players and it is all due to the flat cap.
We have 33 EFFN million dollars tied up in 3 players that have a COMBINED 1 EFFN goal so far

1 of them get a pass the other 2 don't

does our bottom 6 even add up to 10 million in cap?

to blame any of this on the bottom 6 is very misguided.

Mont didn't dominate the ot

The apologists always go to the 15 mins of every game where they are clearly the better team.

But that's the point. Contending teams maybe have a 10 minute lull in a game and play hard for the other 50.....this team does the exact opposite.

Everybody knew Montreal was going to come out flying last night, how about using your superior skill and talent to actually out hustle them and take the game to them instead of "weathering the storm"?

Montreal is only in the playoffs because of the revised season, yet they are outworking the Leafs for 2/3 of a game. Disgraceful

Hyman Matthews Nylander
Galchenyuk Kerfoot Marner
Simmonds Nash Mikheyev
Engvall Brooks Spezza

Rielly Brodie
Dermott Holl
Sandin Bogosian

This is the lineup I think we should go with next game. Jumbo is useless. Put a younger Nash in. Foligno is obviously playing hurt. Nylander is on fire and does have chemistry with Matthews, so I would put them together to get Auston going. Put Marner on the 2nd line and hopefully he gets the hint that he needs to start producing.

Not just the flat cap. It’s also due to the cap constraints Dubas put us in. There will be absolutely NO excuse to keep Dubas, and Shanny for that matter, if we lose tomorrow night. And even if we do manage to win, can you see us beating out Winnipeg? And watching some of the other series, it seems all the other teams are on a whole different level than we are.

I think outside of Thornton our bottom 6 is great. But unfortunately Thornton is that putrid.

Sure we need our 4 stars to score but you are not beating any of the final 4 teams with our bottom 6.

For half of the 3rd period and all of overtime they had the killer instinct, hopefully they'll play like that for all of game 7.

Hopefully I'll win the lottery. I suppose your wish is more likely, but I'm beginning to wonder how much more likely?

Oh, i utterly disagree

It was Shanny,,,,,,who for the first time in my 50 years as a leafs fan, was able to convince the BOG to truly blow it up and value the draft.

That got us Mitch and Matty and a TON of dead weight gone.

Kyle had traded away how many 1rsts?? 3 or 4? in 3 years( i don't see a winning team after all that capital spent) payed the kids large when they had yet to earn it

You guys are mad but there's been so many crazy things happening in the world the last two years and the Leafs are here trying to give us a sense of normalcy.
The Leafs are being well taken care of. It’s time to stop having these warm, fuzzy feelings just because they play for Toronto. They need to start showing results. I’m not saying they need to win the Cup, but at the very least, get out of the 1st round! And even then, to me, getting out of the 1st round only to lose to Winnipeg in the next round, would not be considered a successful season. But hey, maybe my expectations are too high. smh

I will be watching Game 7, just to see Hyman one last time in a leafs uniform, he will be gonzo this summer I believe.... I loved that mans passion as a leaf!
Only player I wouldn’t trade, watch Duffas let him walk for nothing..........

I agree with what you said, but to me, Shanny is the one who hired him and stood behind whatever Dubas did. So he needs to be held accountable as well.
