Collapse ?? You make it seem its preventable to lose...yeah up 3 to 1 and lose 2 ots..both times kind of fluke..2 on.0 and one of a defenseman...dont see the horror here. Toronto was never as good as the 2 games at montreal..deciding victories. Now its a game 7..u can complain all u want...the stars n going.nowhere. only thing maybe get a veteran netminder
You get the problems aren't singular, right?Choking by losing 2 ot games...disagree. odds don't see toronto a huge advantage in any game. You guys follow it more then me. BUT...all of u said Fred Anderson was the problem..now he isnt..lol
Not saying he's physical. I am saying I don't think that particular instance was due to fearHe countless times does not use his body to separate puck from player, misses chances to finish checks and rarely takes s a hit to make a play...
Yeah that puck overglass was just brain dead but its all culmination of bad habitsNot saying he's physical. I am saying I don't think that particular instance was due to fear
It's less hard for other teams to win apparently. This incredibly talented team has 1 more shot to stop 5 straight first round losses and a choker reputation worse than any other Leafs team I can remember
Not quite, but they've made things a hell of a lot more difficult than they ever needed to.It may already be too late?
Either Marner (preferably due to bigger cap hit) or Nylander. It increasingly seems Marner is well-suited to the regular season, but not so much to playoff hockey.Well you can't blame Fred Anderson after all. Who is core to get rid of.. .matthews and Tavares are never going anywhere.
Tavares and matthews aren't going anywhere obv....if u think marner trade makes a difference then so be it. Oh..I guess Babcock coach wasn't the issue as well.I’ve reasonably been able to excuse the recent playoff performances as bad match ups early on & fluky bubble nonsense, but if these mental midgets can’t find a way to get this done then heads have to roll, right? And I don’t just mean change up the assistant coaches and kerfoot... I’m talking this is when you have to look at some of the big ticket items and wonder where you’re going with them.... and I mean marner specifically
No he definitely was an issue, creating a toxic and unhappy work environment. That’s not to suggest keefe shits rainbows, but Babs’ time had definitely run its course within the organizationTavares and matthews aren't going anywhere obv....if u think marner trade makes a difference then so be it. I think this is the frustrating thing. The pieces are all there, it's just a matter of executing and they're failing miserably. Not at all, they’re easily the most talented and “properly constructed” team in the North, anything short of a long conference finals appearance (not losing in 4-5) is a major disappointment this season. I use quotations because it’s obvious that they’re just not.
True. However, the issues he always complained about yet couldn't resolve, like lack of intensity and starting on time, are characteristics that still define this team - ergo, these are things beyond what any coach can fix.No he definitely was an issue, creating a toxic and unhappy work environment. That’s not to suggest keefe shits rainbows, but Babs’ time had definitely run its course within the organization
As a Habs fan, I find this serie pretty entertaining and interesting, both teams are built completeley differently, Habs are build from behind to the top, Leafs the exact opposite...
I think Habs have done a pretty good job at neutralizing your speed in the neutral zone last 2 games, but if it wasnt of Price, this serie is over in 4 or 5, all this with your captain out, so I understand your frustration and there is alot of pressure on your top fowards to produce, but they are at least trying extremmely hard and coming so close. We will see how it ends on monday, good luck.
No the media doesn't pounce all over the narrative at all...
