Dubas is learning the hard way that playoffs are won through depth, mental and physical toughness, not just having top talent.

Carey Price has been the only reason the Habs have had any chance to win any of these games.

The number of extremely difficult saves he's made is just astounding.

The Leafs have absolutely dominated the games in terms of the skaters.

Has Montreal even scored a goal where they actually generated the chance, as opposed to off a Leafs turnover, or power play? No.
Toronto has had dozens of point blank opportunities and just can't seem to score on Price. It takes the ugliest bounces to beat him.

It feels like we want them to win more than they do. I know that is not the case, but clearly this core is not built for big moments. That is extremely disappointing. And here, everyone thought defence and goatending were our issues! ha ha They got us good.

There's something about Marner that will break or make his reputation in the playoffs. We all know he can pass - sometimes to the detriment of the team.

But, what is very noticeable in the playoffs is when he's after a puck with an opposition player also racing there - Marner's body skates away from the puck, while he weakly throws his stick at it. It kind of embodies what is fundamentally wrong with this team in the playoffs. They are too soft and scared of being hit and barely use their body to be strong on the puck. They cannot play aggressive for an entire game because of it.

Everyone on this team needs to watch Hyman, and newly this year, Matthews. If you cannot do that, you will never beat the good teams in the playoffs.

That's not the right way to look at it.

If you remember, the absolutely horrible Carlyle era Leafs were down 3-1 against Boston and won 2 games to force Game 7, lead Game 7 by 4-1 and then we know what happened after that.

Boston won that Game 7 and rode the momentum all the way to the SCF where they lost in Game 6.

Winning on Monday will go a long way but I just don't think they have it in them to win it. It's one of those things where until they do it, I will not believe in their ability to do it.

All bets are off if they win on Monday IMO.

Were a talented, well coached team with a Gorilla on our back right now. Winning a round takes that guy off our back
