They need to make changes in this team starting with the nhl appointed president in Shanahan and the regular season gm in dubas

Trade the 5'9 players

This team doesn't compete in the playoffs and I want a Stanley cup
You think this team isn’t winning because of their height and weight?

They’re not a small team. Our core just plays soft. Tavares Matthews Marner Nylander are largely soft players. Matthews tbf has been laying the body all series as has Nylander though he coasted out there tonight for 2.5 periods. Everyone needs to buy in. Nylander lays his first big hit of the night and what happens? A goal. Team just plays soft because I’m guessing management is more interested in pushing university taught political agendas than playing tough hockey

2 winning goals, in last 2 games...

1) Bogosian gives it away.

2) Off Bogosian's shin pad past Campbell.

I HATE Bogosian.

WTF are you talking about? Gally gave it away last game, and this deflection was just bad luck. If anything, it's on Dermott. Bogo has been great.

Positive: one game closer for Tavares return, one game more for 34+16 to sort their shit

Negative: Muzzin now out, risking more injuries. We have also watched this film before.

If this team is "different", we shall see them show it.

Another thing: How come Carey Price gets whistles without even having to cover the puck, but Montreal gets to dig and dig and dig at Jack Campbell's pads trying to pull the puck out with the ref standing there like a dumbass?
Because we opted not to try for a poke. Marner had a clean look at that loose puck, but turned off and the whistle went

I am pretty pessimistic about us winning Game 7. I don't think there is a chance in hell they do it but this series reminds me a whole lot of our series against Boston in 2013.

Boston clearly outplayed us the whole series only for us to somehow force a Game 7 after down 3-1, which ended in an epic Game 7 which the Bruins won and then went all the way to the SCF after that.

Hopefully we can replicate that besides the being down 4-1 part.

Marner is an easy call. For what he brings he should have got like $8, $9 would have been a gift.

You just can't throw that kind of money at players that can't produce in the offseason. To me it's an easy move, lots of teams would love to have him too.

There is zero hustle / urgency on this team.

None of this:

Campbell has let in multiple soft goals in each of the losses. We deserve better from Campbell. He needs to stop letting goals through his body and swimming for no reason.

Second best goalie in the series by a mile.

It's a cap league... Campbell has been fine given his contract - if not great. Matthews and Marner are the ones not rising to the heights of Price. Price is a 10.5 mill goalie.

Keefe blew this game in so many ways, from his lineup decisions to that abhorrent challenge

Playing Thornton is like playing a man short.

I thought I hated Babcock for his love affair with Hyman. At least Hyman can play

Dude stop with Joe. Insert some player who can skate or just play 3 lines

Montreal playing caufield. Just play robertsson

Simmsonds and mikhayev are total garbage. Have the balls to bench them already

Jeesh Nylander in OT...tried to pull a 1 on 1 deke and fails...the puck rolls out of his reach and into the boards.... he is the first into the corner with the defender he tried to deke right behind him. Nylander knowing the defender is right behind him cuts away from the puck extremely early needing to fully extend his arm backwards to reach for the puck resting in the corner - of course he is unable to reach it and Montreal easily took over possession. All because he doesn't want to take a hit....

Love Nylander but man ....

Its insane, Willy has been our best players so not trying to hate but its the playoffs u have to take a hit and can't give up on the play. Hes been phyiscal imo but marner still playing like its regular season. Watching the games its soo obivous that the first line is not playing well, no idea why keefe hasn't broken that line up. Disappointing

I want Marner off this f***ing team.

He is utterly useless in the playoffs. His shooting percentage is 0 for christ sakes.

Fire dubas and Shanahan so the leafs are not a nhl headquarters puppet team.

Bring in a real gm and gut this team

2 first rnd picks for marner
3 first for mathews
1 first for Nylander and a 3rd

If they want to float and pass the puck and never shoot it then they can just go make millions elsewhere

:help:

Jack Campbell can f*** off to if he loses, a true #1 wins this series after being up 3-1

Also why can Tavares take a hike?none of this is his fault he got a knee to the skull

I have nothing against Tavares, but he is 30 years old and now has sustained a serious head/neck injury. Good new for the Leafs I guess is that they have him locked in for another 4 years at 11 Million

But when they needed him most where was he? Making 13 consecutive saves in OT. Campbell also let in flukey goals in the game, both goalies were at a wash going into overtime, then 1 goalie showed superstardom and the other let in a back breaker

Montreal got a lucky bounce. Could've just as easily happened for Toronto but it didn't.
