I love reading the high horse posters...its only one game...we are still on top of the division, we had more shots....blah blah blah.

We couldn't beat a team ravaged by COVID who didnt even want to lace em up and was forced by the NHL to play. We had a full lineup.

Nothing but pretty boys hockey tonight. No finish. No heart. Not even after Hyman went down.

PP is atrocious. With such a top heavy team we can't score in over 44 chances? Disgusting.

Firing Dubas won’t fix anything as the team is set. If anything it is about fixing the core. The question is whom do we trust more Dubas or a new GM?
Personally, if they win a few rounds in the playoffs, this 4 games slide means crap but looking at this team over the past 5yrs, they lack that killer instinct.

I would agree with Part 2 of your plan. But Dubas gets to make that move I think. I mean, I don't give a damn who the president of GM are as long as the team wins (the cup).

I know, it sucks man.

You literally see part of the puck moving in the net, knowing the dimensions of the puck and the +/- of where the rest of the puck could potentially be positioned relative to the goal line.

That's not even taking into account any kinetic/kinematic analysis which couldn't definitively prove a goal or non-goal, but could help support/explain the path the puck takes during the sequence. You see it bank off Holtby and into the net, where for a moment you see its position +/- an insignificant amount of displacement, while still clearly in motion in a direction that would bring it further into the net before you can't see it again...

There were so many Leafy moments within the loss too.

1) The complete lack of any emotional response for Hyman's injury. Slow, bored PP. You wouldn't have thought the Leafs wanted to beat the Canucks at all after they took out a teammate.

2) Leader Thornton wasting time being on the special teams and just skates away when Pearson is cross checking Galchenyuk after the whistle.

3) The Puck Possession King Leafs possessed the puck for 4 seconds or something in the OT period. Not only did the Covid ravaged Canucks maintain the puck for a good 2 minutes, the moment Marner got it he flipped it back down the ice which set up the Canucks for another minute run with the puck.

I really dont think dubas has what it takes to make a gutsy move for the betterment of the team. if leafs lose again in the 1st round that will be his 3rd exit early... 2 in 1st rounds and 1 they did not even make the playoffs

Keefe has to make some adjustments too IMO; the greenlight to the D to jump in and pinch especially when leading in teh game with less than 5 mins to go in a period is really stupid

Well, Leaf Killer Skilliter was an official tonight but they really shouldn't have let it get to that point. It's all on the Leafs.

Colorado doesn't shy away from rough stuff that's for sure. Nor does Vegas. Certainly not Boston. Washington gets involved with physical stuff, Tampa Bay too. Islanders, Hurricanes, and Penguins as well. Funny how out of all the contending level teams, of which the Leafs are alleged to be, Toronto is the only one that goes out of their way to not participate in any physicality. Fights, scrums, hell even big hits are at a premium with this team.

It's a good wakeup for our fans too. Grit is basically useless if you don't have enough talent.

WTF are you going on about our whole team is a team full of wankers that refuse to hit or battle but fancy pants skill guys. Other than three guys one who is ancient, one who returned from a 6 week injury and one who just got a knee injury, the bulk of rest are all your skill and somewhat talent guys that don't battle hard enough and barely believe in body contact, our goal tending has been abysmal which does not help.
I don't know who the slower skater is weather its Muzzin or Thornton and Reilly is making more dumber plays than a slew full of Jake Gardiners but lets blame this all on the grit guys one who hasn't even played a game for us yet and Simmonds who is struggling finding where he left off and Hyman who is a line king just got hurt.

I honestly doubt we could move Marner or Tavares without taking something back we didn't want (attached to other stuff). Teams that could afford to pay him would struggle from a cap point of view, and teams with cap probably don't like the idea of an 11 mil winger.
