I feel bad for everyone being ripped off again by this league. That goal that went in with 20 seconds left was impossible not to rule that it was in. They fixed the call. Just remember that before getting mad at the players. Im proud of the Canucks playing as well as they did. This is not about Canucks vs Leafs. This is much bigger when the leagues refs are fixing games.

Are they betting? Like who knows but there is something foul smelling coming out and their refs getting caught on a microphone fixing calls is known.

I think they should be investigated. The cronies and the nepotism and censorship that reeks a stench from this crooked game. I will never buy another jersey or anything for that matter that puts money in the crooks hands.

Hoping all the Canuck players get feeling well quickly. Good game

Hey I'm just going by their moves last offseason and this TDL. Thornton, Simmonds, Bogosian (who's actually solid), Foligno.
Thorton was not brought in for grit he is old, he was brought in because he was a superior passer and set up guy, yea he is a big body but has slowed down, Simmonds has been terribly off since his injury and Bogo has been solid.
Other than Hyman added to this list please tell me where the grit and battle is because the rest only move their feet when the puck is on their sticks or on an offensive play and are terrible without it and &^% the bed on defensive coverage or winning puck battles.
Most improved however in this area has been Mathews other than the last couple games

Marner would be the one I move for two reasons, he makes a lot of coin and we could use it elsewhere, and he would garner the best return. He would 100% tear up the league and prob lead it in points sometime after leaving us, but such is the cost of trying to evolve the team.

I am torn on Rielly, he can be so good and effective so often, and then sometimes he looks like a lost dog scurrying around looking for his owner. If we could replace him with another Brodie (whoever that is), I'd be fine letting him go.

like I said if they get eliminated in the first round, Reilly is not the answer and unless he signs for 5mil like TJ, he will price himself out of town.

Would just trade both Marner and Willie bc I can only imagine how toxic this place would be if Marner is gone and Willie stays.

Hold tight! 2 more years of a team performance like this and Edmonton does not crack the top tier and I would not be surprised for a blockbuster deal. I doubt Matthews really could care less about playing in Canada, let alone Toronto. McDavid is a Toronto boy and idolizes Wayne Gretzky. Gretzky always wanted to play in Toronto but his greedy owners had other ideas. I'm looking for, in 2 or 3 years a 3 way deal that takes Matthews back to Arizona and McDavid to T.O. It won't be Dubas who makes that deal.

if only.....

Mack trained with Crosby and changed his outlook and approach to the game. His work ethic is went through the roof and ponits started to pour in and his emotion is infectious. when your best player is the hardest worker on the team then the rest of the team has to put in that work.

Marchand's fortunes changed to after he started working out with Crosby. Marchand's game changed he is still a RAT but his work ethic is not questionable
Maybe AM, Willie and Marner should start working out with Sid than McDavid, lol.

Yep. One of the ideas I thought Keefe would try was separating the 11mil players into three lines and see if they could elevate other players.

The problem though is that once opposition starts clogging neutral zone and forces us to dump... we either dump the puck and not recover; or force entry and turnover the puck.

all because folks do not want to play body except may be Hyman, Mikheyev and Matthews I don't see anybody playing body in the offensive zone.

I know, it sucks man.

You literally see part of the puck moving in the net, knowing the dimensions of the puck and the +/- of where the rest of the puck could potentially be positioned relative to the goal line.

That's not even taking into account any kinetic/kinematic analysis which couldn't definitively prove a goal or non-goal, but could help support/explain the path the puck takes during the sequence. You see it bank off Holtby and into the net, where for a moment you see its position +/- an insignificant amount of displacement, while still clearly in motion in a direction that would bring it further into the net before you can't see it again...

Edit: another angle...
Thank you for posting these videos of the goal clearly in 123OTG. Appreciated.

Simmonds plays the body.
but that’s also why you need a leader that is going to lead by example. If JT drives to the net and play forecheck hard, the rest of the team will follow.

Highlight package for those who missed the game

Maybe he was selling it, but the puck was 100% in.
How can you say that? Show me the video that shows it clearly in and why didn't Marner and them object even in the slightest. When Holtby got up the puck was not all the way in, maybe he dragged it but without proof you can't call that a goal, especially when trying to overturn the call.
Plus if it was in so clearly as you say, why didn't Keefe challenge?

Why does anyone else need to lead by example? There are plenty of captains in this league doesn't drive the net or forecheck hard.
Patrice Bergeron rarely drives the net or forechecks super hard. His line mates do that for him
Neither does Jordan Staal.

But their teams seems to be fine. Don't bail out players, It's on them

With some players you could have Gilmour and Messier leading the charge, it doesn't change them. They are who they are

JT leading the charge won't make Thornton any younger, Mikaheyev new sets of hands, Simmonds a hockey player again. This team has some poor personnel, that's the issue, not leadership from JT

JT has never been a guy leading charge. Ask any Isles fans. You expecting that out of JT it's not his fault, it's yours

To be honest though, I'd rather this group find a way to get it done. They came in together, would be pretty awesome to see them make it to the top together. We're discussing worst case, but this team makes it hard to see anything but sometimes.

People talking about Riley Nash or Nick Foligno....I think you could have the bottom six of the 96-2001 Colorado Avalanche or Detroit Red Wings in here and it won't make any difference if the team's primary playing style is to play this ring around the net hockey that doesn't work in the playoffs.

How is possible to have 5 or 6 players on this roster who are ELITE at zone entries 5v5

but once they get on the PP they literally think the blue-line is a wall????????

I for the life of me dont get it
They are coached to do 5 drop passes.

Go back to the Nucks board and bask in the glory of your win. Btw they just added a 2 point buffer on the Sabres
I already told him where he could find the replay showing it is in. 123offtheglass posted two videos showing it in
