I said "lacks a true #1D that cup winners have" and then proceeded to compare them to cup winning teams. Please explain where and how the goalposts moved.
"However I'm still predicting a 1st round exit. This team lacks a true #1D that cup winners have"

Im looking forward to watch Acciari. Looks like under the radar great addition to the bottom 6
We know he is tough to play against but as I was looking at his stats, he did scored 20 goals once and seemed to be someone who can score off the rush, which is something we lacked in the bottom 6.

And you point is....???
Guy finished 5th and 11th in Norris voting 2 out of the past 4 years, "not a true 1D"

What does your belief that the Leafs don't have a 1D to go all the way have to do with them winning rounds? What 1D did the Oilers have to win their rounds last year?

The only wildcard left that Bruins and TB can get is Kane.
Really hope Lou go out and get Kane and Toews from the Hawks while Meier goes to Vegas or somewhere in the West.

You're clearly confused. Winning a round and not having a cup winning level 1D were two separate points, separated by a period.

And I didn't say Rielly isn't a 1D. I said he's not at the level of the cup winning ones whom I later listed. Try to keep up

Is your dad ever right?

Asking for a fanbase, er I mean for a friend……
I live in Vancouver and was cooking dinner last night and didn’t pick up my phone till after dinner. All I saw when I picked up my phone were messages from my Nucks fans asking me what I think or Leafs are going all in. Lol

Is Josh Pillar anything?
Pretty sure Dubas and company see something in him, as I doubt Wilds will just randomly put him in the deal that they don’t need to include anything.

Not without risk but I like it, the double retention opens up options for another trade for an impact D

I just love what ROR and Acciari were wearing when they showed up. It shows they are grinders and blue collars MEN.

you know who this is?

lol what they are wearing has less than 0 to do with being blue collar or "men"

I enjoyed reading this piece on him.

Going on the premise of nothing comes of him, but if anything Dubas has shown shrewd instincts at finding talent and doesn’t make these kinds of moves without intent.

Ultimately, you miss every shot you don’t take right?

They needed to include something. So they probably took their least likely prospect to pan out.

Not really all the Wilds need to do is show paper works that ROR and Acciari or maybe just ROR was first traded to their team before sending him to the Leafs. Dubas did that for Hawks and Vegas a few yrs back with Lehner, don’t recall Leafs gave out anything but cap space, I could be wrong though.

Leafs spent all day yesterday trying to get the deal done.

Keefe - "They were hard at work all day. Nobody from our management team left the building - from practice until the very end of the night. I know Kyle well enough by now, that when he gets quiet, I know things are happening".

Now, trade Kerfoot (replaced by Knies or a Marlie of choice), for the meanest mf 7th defenseman in the NHL.
When Boston or Tampa decide to run Samsonov or Sandin, we can say enough is enough and not start planning to win the NHL golf tournament

Toughness has never been an issue - unless you weren't paying any attention last playoffs.

Sorry. Just not impressed with this move. ROR is passed his prime and I don't think he puts them over the top.
Who cares if he is past his prime? How many games have you actually seen him play?
These are his last year numbers. Pretty darn good for a leafs depth player.

or... hear me out... keep the player on pace 35+ points who can play all positions and is defensively responsible... even if it is for the 4th line.

Having a fourth line of Engvall - Kampf - Kerfoot sounds great to me... they looked good as our third line.
