Would be nice if we were able to use Kerfoot’s salary to extend O’Reilly for a couple years as well. I expect that’s an off-season discussion though.
FUN FACT
Noel Acciari is 10th in the NHL in hits
When giving up a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th I’d hope for more than “could be, if”.The Hall situation was quite unique.
it’ll be interesting to see what Kane and Meier go for.
This is the less sexy trade, but could be massive if ROR is healthy and excited to be here.
I had it similar but:
Holmberg - ROR - Jarnkrok
Engvall - Kampf - Acciari
I don’t think anyone can justify sitting Holmberg for ZAR
Picks acan also turn into Bigg's, or Bracco's or Korshkov's.....
They're a low percentage mystery boxes that means more to rebuilding teams
I’d be saying the same thing if it was Kane. Especially with his condition this yearWhen giving up a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th I’d hope for more than “could be, if”.
It is but as the silver fox said draft shmaft. Can’t worry about the future when you’re your so close, whatever it takes to win imho. All the retention definitely took a few extra picks but there’s room to add because of itNot sure how I feel about this one. Lot of picks for a rental
And Knies holds out until his rights expire,, and we sign him as a FA!I'd move Knies, Kerfoot and something else and get Chychrun next.

I would wait until summer. I want to make sure he's not damaged goods. He hasn't looked good this yearWould be nice if we were able to use Kerfoot’s salary to extend O’Reilly for a couple years as well. I expect that’s an off-season discussion though.
At this stage with the core, the draft picks (especially those more than a year out) mean very little in terms of value to the franchise if they were to keep them. They gave up a 1st, 2nd, and a 4th round pick...
How is that "low percentage"?
We hear all the time about how "2nd's are the same as 1'sts" when Kyle Dubas makes a Mrazek trade right?
He gave up two of those for rentals..
Better hope it actually works to some degree this time.
He did the same with Foligno and Muzzin and both flopped.
ROR, noted Bruins Killer?

Basically it’s all in while guys like Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are under contract.
Keeping our current prospects that can make an impact as early as late this season and into next year is what is most important and so far Dubas has done that.
